It would be nice to see Zucker gone Friday instead of a year from Friday, but we’ll see. Cross your fingers everybody.

The bleaker the outlook, the more able The Powers That Be will be to find ways to get key personnel changes made during the regulatory approval period, instead of after it.

One year later….. NBC will become a cable network in many areas, there is already talk of that in many articles. As for more scripted shows, the new NBCU is saddled with billions in debt that will have to be paid off. NBC has to make money, and a lot of it.

Could this now spell the end of MSNBC?

They laid me off a year ago, by Zucker’s approval, even though the VP my of department pleaded with HR to keep me, the most successful and vital person to the department. We actually generated revenue for NBC, and yet they chose to axe the entire division, which had little overhead. This is just one of the stupid, ill-informed decisions he made, along with the scores of others, that have sadly turned NBC into a punchline.
I’ve sat next to him and met him at Town Hall meetings at Rock. He is all talk and lots of poor actions. I hope he is the first to go once Comcast takes over; I hope they see what a waste he is. Good riddance to him and his noisy, shiny suits.

Comments On Deadline Hollywood are monitored. So don't go off topic, don't impersonate anyone, don't get your facts wrong, and don't bore me.
Only question now is, will they move Leno to 8 p.m. or 11? And if 8, will they keep it an hour or cut it to a half?
Might this mean Jeff Zucker’s days destroying NBC are finally numbered?
I sincerely hope so.
