You’ve GOT to watch this holiday card from 20th Century Television. Brutally honest and humorous about the biz. (My jaw is still on the floor.) UPDATE: Ah, it was written by Modern Family‘s Steve Levitan which is it’s funny. And it was made in a 1/2 hour during the crew’s lunch break.

Give them a lot of credit for making fun of themselves. And it was funny!
I guess maybe it’s only funny to people who are or have been in the business. I liked it. At least you know they’re somewhat self-aware…
unfunny. lame. so “in” it’s “out.”
Wow – not edgy, just stupid – didn’t they watch this before they put it out?
How Gary has survived all these years perfecting mediocrity (I’m being kind) is beyond me.
Insensitive, and truly poor judgment.
actually funnier than I thought it could be (not a fan of them)
And how many projects did she turn down of yours producer34? I like her alot.
How obnoxious that the entire cast of a great show was forced to do this dumb skit, that the exec producer had to write it and were all subjected to it…lame.
No wonder your scripts aren’t getting picked up. You write like shit.
Hey, Ron. I’m not a writer. But thanks for the put down. How apropos.
This is offensive and indicative of the “let them eat cake” mentality that Dana and Gary run the studio with. Morale is low because Gary spends all his time at his vineyard, and Dana all her time at her “appointments”, and the rest of the staff works to the bone. Gary is an enemy of creativity, and Dana only cares about appearances. This video would have never happened if Chernin was still there. Dana and Gary..wake up, your entire studio does not like you specifically because of the attitude you display with this lame attempt at humor. Why do you make it all about you?
It would be funny if not for the fact that it’s real. And it’s in incredible bad taste to make light of other peoples’ income loss when they’re (hell, we’re) all struggling to put food on the table in the first place. Even her coy little ‘wink-wink’ doesn’t absolve them of arrogance and elitism. This isn’t humor people – it’s a “fuck you little people”.
This smarmy attitude by ALL of the country’s profit-making machines is sickening.
“… little people.” This is big execs and big actors making fun of each other.
Oblivious of the little people who make the show.
LOVE IT…!!! Gary and Dana are relatively decent execs compared to some of the other studios. Have a sense of humor….it’s just a joke.
Just another ex. of attention deficit, greedy senior management. I would be embarrassed as an actor to be asked to do this skit. There’s nothing funny about it — unless you are senior management and enjoying all the extra take-home pay this year because you fired so many people to give yourself a raise. (Cuz it sure didn’t go to the shareholders.) Oh, now I see the funny! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Not.
You obviously work at FOX, OBVIOUSLY! Your comments are spot on!
Memo to Suits: leave the comedy to Ben Stiller please.
This is just painful.
THE ONLY way this could’ve been funny would have been if we’d panned down to reveal they were sitting in their skivvies. Now THAT would’ve garnered a chuckle vs. total awkwardness.
This is what happens when Suits attempt comedy. Please, leave it to Ben Stiller thank you. That was just painful.
That was funny! I love it when people can poke fun at themselves, though I’m not sure about those who appear to have had a medical sense of humour by-pass.
Merry Christmas (or any other holiday you want) everyone.
I don’t know these people personally, but I thought it was quite funny. They’re very good actors, especially Dana Walden.
Saying “the one sitting on the right” would make me believe you actually don’t know them. Obviously you do.
i think Dana is great. Met her at an HRTS luncheon 10 years ago and could have sworn she was an actress. Was very surprised to learn that she was an executive. she was simply too good looking to be an executive.
Guarantee all the “I thought it was funny” comments are from dana and gary’s’ pr people.
Are you kidding? Modern Family is hilarious. The set dec is pristine and that Manny character is an absolutely hilarious.
I found it refreshingly honest. Their job is to make as much for the company and themselves as possible. As long as they each get their $20 million, who cares what happens to anyone else? Thank you Gary and Dana for being honest. We’ve never seen it before, and I’m sure we’ll never see it again.
It is FUNNY! Hahaha!
Lighten up people!!
I still can’t stand Dana Walden. Love Gary Newman. But Dana, AWFUL. She does….. dress well. LOL.
