EXCLUSIVE: I've confirmed that Shia LaBeouf left WME on Friday. And that he's going agentless, sticking with his manager John Crosby and his attorney Matt Saver. It's a huge loss for the agency and Megan Silverman (who helped put the actor in everything big like Disturbia and Transformers and Indiana Jones 4 and Wall Street 2), since Shia is one of the biggest young stars with the brightest future. But it was all very amicable. The explanation I hear is that Shia has Leo has his role model and, since DiCaprio is famously agentless, Shia thinks he can go that route, too.

Comments On Deadline Hollywood are monitored. So don't go off topic, don't impersonate anyone, don't get your facts wrong, and don't bore me.
Look close and see the agentless future with just lawyers and managers as representation.
WME and Megan Silverman did very little for Shia (putting it nicely). Steven Spielberg saw Shia in “Holes” and said “I’m going to keep my eye on him.” It was Shia’s talent and Spielberg recognizing it that got him all of the Blockbuster films that he’s been in! Way to go SHia! I don’t blame him for leaving. Too many Peas in the Pod!
Well said, and I agree! Talent has to count for something, and he has GOT IT!!
and your just absolutely an idealist, there no chance of an agentless hollywood, what u neglect to comprehend there is a reason why we know the name Abe lastfogel, and William Morris, its an absolute necessity in this industry. If you worked within its inner borders you might be able to grasp that idea. The studios would take unfair advantage of the talent, but anyways look at the movies Shia has booked over the last few years, this could be one of even stevens worst decisions besides getting wasted and driving while on a film. Either way he’ll be paying wme for years to come, I wish him the best, but i dont think that this will start any trends.
Always delightful to see posts by those who are spelling challenged.
But leo is much more older and wiser than shia. Shia is still young and wide open
I wish him Good luck and I hope this move dont come back and haunt him
But Leo has Martin Scorsese casting him in every movie whether he’s appropriate or not. Who does Shia have?
Transformers.
Michael Bay.
Indiana Jones 4, 5 etc.
Stephen Spielberg.
An enormous fan base.
What do you have?
lol
But were those “Shia LaBeouf” movies that couldn’t have sold with anyone else in the role? No, not really. He was there to play either straight man or comic relief to special effects or stars with longer track records. Whatever talent and charisma he has is lost in the roaring explosions and chase scenes.
And face it, no actor in Hollywood has the slavish loyalty Scorsese has for DiCaprio. In fact, it’s getting a tad creepy, and we might have to do an intervention if Scorsese puts Leo in the lead of the Martin Luther King Story.
Going agentless at this stage of his career without a firm lock on his personal Scorsese is risky, very risky.
And thanks for the “what do you have” tidbit with your comment “e” if that is your real name. Claiming that the opinion of someone in a free society is somehow worthless unless they star in big budget movies shows the world just how brilliant and witty you really are.
Oh, Furious D–
What a ridiculous sad clown you are. Where did I ever write that someone’s opinion is worthless “unless they star in a big budget movie”? In yet another of your erroneous claims you asserted that Shia LeBeouf didn’t have anything because he didn’t have Martin Scorsese like L. DiCaprio. This ridiculous notion just makes it clear that YOU’RE WORTHLESS.
Starring in 4 movies that have grossed over 2 billion dollars matters. Having actual movies in production that are highly anticipated (Wall Street 2, Transformers 3) matters. Having actual studios (who love franchises and reward very well for them) that want to be in business w/ you who can create new vehicles for you w/ directors like Spielberg & Bay matters.
Are you worthless because you’re not a movie star? Of course not.
You’re worthless because you insist on wasting people’s time w/ opinions that are baseless (even your analogy re: Scorsese’s loyalty to DiCaprio is w/out merit. Have you even seen the last 5 Tim Burton movies?). You come to this site & write like you know what you’re talking about when you obviously, painfully, don’t.
Given your little blog, I don’t see you answering my question anytime soon.
& who gives a rat’s puckered ass what my real name is? Is your real name Furious D? If it is, then you’re an even bigger more pathetic loser than I thought.
Oh, right… your little blog…
I must have really touched a nerve there “e.”
Thanks for being such a lovely troll, you’ve convinced me that he doesn’t need an agent when he’s got folks like you to back him up.
“Having actual movies in production that are highly anticipated (Wall Street 2…”
This is about as highly anticipated as a theoretical sequel to The Jewel of the Nile.
Dude…I’m pretty sure “Furious D” was kidding around with the whole, “…if that is your real name,” thing, which what the winky emoticon at the end kind of confirmed. Unless this sudden and extreme emotional venting is keeping you from going postal on your fellow d-girls, perhaps you ought to save your unbridled rage for someone who isn’t another random and anonymous intertubes commenter.
OHHHHHH SNAP!
You two need to get a room — or rather a cage…and a ref.
e: you started this war of words. Your adding, “what do you have?” is clearly twisted and the result of a brain in need of defragging.
Furious D: You were pretty hard on both Leo and Shia, both superstars in the world of commerce, and both will field first-choice offers for years and years, and for this reason and this reason alone, they can go it w/out an agent.
e: You jumped all over FD, in what read like a keypad roid rage. You are the one who screwed up with that very weird question-tag. Own it, admit it, if only to yourself. FD is proven here, and is fine. You are in question.
yes e, you’ve just won the argument… wait no, you’ve proved you’re a complete douchebag & blowhard. i recognize that working in the mailroom at the shittiest animal acting agency in the valley is bad but christ, smoke some pot or take some zanex or something…. sheesh, talking about sad clowns.
the guy’s point is that dicaprio has prestige pictures under his belt and talent: MARVIN’S ROOM, WHAT’S EATING GILBERT GRAPE and then the Scorsese pictures. leo can actually act.
Shia Laboeuf seems like a fine kid but what he does in EAGLE EYE or THE BATTLE OF SHAKER HEIGHTS or TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN isnt acting. He plays the same “character” over and over again. the one glimmer of hope is his performance in A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS.
Who gives a shit if he’s in a franchise picture? people aren’t going to remember Robert Deniro for MEET THE PARENTS theyre going to rave about him in 100 years because of GODFATHER 2, DEER HUNTER, HEAT, RAGING BULL et al.
money can get you out of the animal acting agency in the valley but it can’t get you respect. shia’s probably giving the agency the boot cuz he’s sick of the franchise crap and he wants to try acting again, like he proved he can do in A GUIDE.
Awfully long rant to put down a ‘worthless’ dude with a ‘little’ blog.
The internets… they keel me! BWA-HAHA-HAAA.
Don’t like your type “e”.
Couldn’t agree more about the “no one went to specifically see LaBeouf” aspect (with the possible exception of a coterie of addled fangirls. LaBeouf is one DUI or personal behavior scandal away from the type of career free-fall that would make even Tiger Woods’ head spin. I hope that the agent-less LaBeouf has fun resuscitating his career after that.
Hahahahahahaha
Couldn’t have said it better myself!! Go Shia!!
Shia has Spielberg casting in every DreamWorks Project
HELLO – Shia has Steven Spielberg casting him in every movie. He makes more movies that Martin.
other than being spielberg’s pet, what does this guy have? registers a big fat zero on camera, most famous for playing sidekick to robots and an old guy…where does the heat come from? at least dicaprio did edgier fare before titanic hit, labeouf has only ever been in commercial dreck which highlights his callowness
Maybe that is why Shia left his agent, so he can be free to pursue edgier films rather than pleasing his agent by only doing blockbusters.
RE: Waiting for the Collapse
Shia’s a star because he’s talented. Go watch A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Hardly commercial dreck.
One could argue other than Scorsese films, what CURRENT work does Leo have to support your claims? I find that they are similar caliber actors…I’d give Leo the edge at this point…but I see similar careers for them if Shia can get away from the franchise. However IF Shia sticks with franchises, I see him having a similar career as Harrison Ford…who says being Spielburg’s ace in the hole is such a bad thing? You get Lucas as an added bonus
this is where the agent does good for the client and the client doesnt appreciate the agent’s work or percentage. sucks to do this near the holidays.
You don’t think his agency didn’t make good on the 10 % they were owed off the millions he garnered and his particular agent didn’t see a good 1/3 rd of that come bonus time this time every year??
Pull your head out!
“Developing careers” is the biz OF managers and agents don’t do shit but spend most of their waking moments in poach-drift about town, believe me…
The Writing Is On The (Agency) Wall… But Seeing As They Don’t Read, They Are Still Behind The Times…
Oh, stop.
shia aint leo
Shia Labeouf definitely has a bright future ahead of him
Good luck to him. How many other actors are agentless? Worked out well for Leo – I assume he picks his roles without the pressure/input from an agent and has had a great track record so far.
Oy! What happens if all artists follow his lead? Then I’ll be out of a job. Ach und gemiel! Manya, fetch the antacid. I gots spielkis in my gonnectikazoink!
Oh I get it. All agents are nerdy little Jews. Cute. How’s being a racist working out for you? So successful you can spend all of your time on the internet in the middle of the day, huh? Your mother must be so proud.
I can’t stand LaBeouf, who is way too full of himself. He’s got to stop with those cancer sticks too. And has anyone noticed that 35 year old Dicaprio looks 45?
saw him last wednesday and boy does he look great. so, whatever.
I think the consensus is that 35 year old DiCaprio still looks 25–after looking 15, or arguably five, for most of his career–which is part of why he’s eternally unconvincing.
man, your comment (and you nickname) was gold. it made my day lol.
In a shrinking industry the future is a world where agents and managers compete. Everyone working that little bit harder for their buck.
WTF is Shia thinking! He needs to have an agent!! But i wish him good luck anway.. Shia is my fav actor. But this.. Not having an agaent.. Is NOT good idea!! :S
The problem here is Crosby. He managed Charlize until she woke up and got real reps. He has managed to rep many many people who all smartly leave him. After a year of going no where Shia will wise up and go as well.
How about the fact that Leo has a COMPANY and one of the loudest, coldest, meanest women (don’t be jealous, Nikki, I’m always thinking of you) in the industry protecting his every move? Leo isn’t an actor, he is a force. If Shia wants to be one of the many replaceable talents in the industry, enjoy the pasture…
How about the fact that Leo has one of the loudest, coldest, meanest women in the industry protecting his every move?
He is protected by his mom?
Patti Glaser?
The agency business is massively shifting from a ‘take the money and do little for it business’ to one wherein the fight for business is getting bloodier every day. Valuable client service has been tarnished over the years by many agents and their agencies. Although many agents do a good job and equal number seriously do not.
Perhaps, Shia is just taking some time to review his options and to decide if there is an agent who can truly benefit and more importantly care about his career more than their percentage of his income.
Shia is young and talented and can take his time seeking what he wants for his fast growing career.
At the end of the day, what does he lose by not having an agent now or maybe forever?
Finally, some reasonable thoughts!
Yeah right steve-o, BS.
Did Carey tell Shia to do this (drop WME), simply greed, or both?
Shia is a trash actor who can’t act, he did WME a favor.
He’s already much sought after and he’ll be just fine.
Nikki : The only reason it was amicable on the WME side is cuz they are hoping they can get him back… Behind the scenes I guarantee they’re not in such an amicable mood.
Really?????????
To the fool who says Shia only does commercial dreck, I second the Guide to Recognizing Your Saints by the very underrated Dito Montiel, that guy is a really talented director born two decades too late I think. Back to my point, he is a very talented actor and unless he blows it in Wall Street 2 — which might suck and seem like a parody of Wall Street 1 (THE STING 2 anyone?)– he’ll be fine. He will go agentless until he makes two big bombs. I mean the guy will always be in Transformers movies (which are really laughably bad).
He was great in Disturbia and Eagle Eye, albeit he has honestly not been given a chance to really act since the Dito film. He was even better in Constantine.
lol the guy cannot act and has no screen charisma…try again
I’ve never understood the necessity for both a manager and an agent. All an actor needs is one good agent or manager and a lawyer. Despite the bullshit that Hollywood sells you, you don’t need to pay two people to do the same work…
Ari Gold may want to watch out. When Vinnie Chase hears this, then he may want to go agentless as well.
Megan made Shia. And all of WME was working on Shia’s behalf. Crosby may be in that mix too – he now thinks that Shia is an incoming call biz so why bother with the agency? Save Shia 10%.
Not working hard enough. He currently has two so-called edgy projects he’s passionate about, and WME has done nada to help get them set up.
not true. shia’s edgy indies were serviced by multiple agencies (including wme) because of the other attachments on the films. every indie financier in town’s taken a read. problem is the unrealistic budget and frankly, the material itself isn’t strong.
if shia really wants to be like leo, he should go ahead and set up a production company for two reasons – 1) he’ll get better independent material to play with, and 2) there are some really great, unemployed execs out there who could use an opportunity like this. win-win.
Megan made Shia?! You’re high, right? You actually think Megan Fox brought ANYTHING to Transformers that ANY hot young actress could not have?
The mark of an actor who has “it” in my opinion is to elevate yourself over sub-par stuff. So yeah, Transformers was a popcorn movie, but the scene in the first one in which he’s trying to hide Fox in his room shows even in a movie with zero substance that Shia’s got some skills. I know the Owen Glieberman snobs on this board will scoff at that, but so what.
That said, Wall Street 2 is going to blow because it is Wall Street 2.
STEPHENREX: You are the idiot. They are saying MEGAN SILVERMAN – SHIA’S FORMER AGENT MADE HIM. Certainly no one thinks Megan Fox had anything to do with helping Shia’s career.
pay attention.
You’re obviously not from Hollywood. Megan SILVERMAN is the agent Shia left.
Jeez.
Megan Silverman his ex-agent, you f—-n idiot. It’s even in Nikki’s post.
Easy on the name calling “annonymous”.
In response to Allison’s comment regarding Mr. DiCaprio looking 45. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Having just worked with him, he looks great and looks his age. He’s also a really nice guy.
You need new glasses Allison.
Is there something wrong with looking over 45?
Agents, in general, are truly frustrating. They don’t return phone calls, they don’t read scripts, they don’t push projects forward (at best, they push sideways). They just wait to receive offers of work for their clients. Most bigger deals are structured when a producer reaches out to a manager. An agent is rarely involved at the beginning. Once manager gets client to commit, for some strange reason, the deal is then turned over to the agent and lawyer to close. This doesn’t make any sense. Shia got it right. Ditch the drama which an agent brings and tithe the 10% to a decent charity instead.
I love when people say agents don’t return calls. All they do is talk on the phone and return calls…. WTF. Maybe they don’t return your calls, because you are not their client or you cannot get their client any work.
Please let me know what “bigger deals” are structured when a producer reaches out to a manager. The truth is, you know nothing about how this town works.
Spoken like someone who is still seeking representation. What color is the sky where you live? Based on your comments, I’m sure it’s cold and grey, like your career.
HAHA. Spot on… All agents do is return calls and read scripts.
The truth is Leo doesn’t have an agent because he was LEO when his agent at CAA, Jay Maloney (and Adam Venit), passed away, he really didn’t “need” an agent anymore. It wasn’t some arrogant/cheap move like this. People love Shia but he TRANSFORMERS is not like TITANIC and ROMEO AND JULIET or getting nominated for WHAT’S EATING GILBERT GRAPE. Actors need both nowadays, there’s too much ground to cover and agents/agencies are so bottomline based, that is easy for them to gravitate towards the money makers and flavors of the month, also to poaching other clients. Agents will say actors don’t need managers so they can control the relationship.
Well, obviously Shia wasn’t in the top 2%.
Shia is a hottie! No one has said that yet…
I remember first seeing Shia LeBeouf in interviews with Keannu Reeves when they were promoting Constantine. Never mind Shia’s horrible acting, he was an obnoxious punk in the interviews and tried his best to upstage Keannu with his over-the-top efforts to try to be funny (he wasn’t). I could understand it more if he were just nervous, but his acting hasn’t improved, and judging by his drunk nights out flipping trucks in Los Angeles, I’d say he hasn’t grown up any either.
The male Megan Fox, nothing more.
Once an actor is well known, which Shia is, what does an agent do and how does it differ from what a manager does at that level?
After all the weird bullcrap he was allowed to spew this summer in the press, I think he would’ve been better dropping his publicist instead of his agent.
He’s moderately appealing but overrated.
And a mouth-breather. I was surprised that in the accompanying mug shot his mouth is actually closed. That’s not usually the case.
This is an embarrassing blow to WME. If he’s just gonna keep one, why wouldn’t it be a big agency like WME, and not some powerless manager that most people have barely heard of?
It’s getting really bad over there.
Since I have no dog in this hunt, It will be interesting to watch. Will he go back to an agent when he needs one? Will he engender enough ill will in the industry to make him lose business? Actors often have to engineer “comebacks”. Aren’t agents often neccessary to this process? We’ll see.
Shia can get a movie made. period..that’s what it boils down to. If he gets more personal attention from a manager..that’s obviously his preference over WME. He’s been in a lot of giant franchise films..but it was Disturbia (which made over $100million) that proves he can draw in the kiddies without robots.
Solid decision. Allows for options in his career. Demonstrates his trust in his management and legal teams.
The truth is, SOMEBODY has to figure out Shia’s career or it’s already over. “Wall Street 2″ was a really, really, really dumb idea and I’ve been surprised as hell he took it ever since he clambered on board. In fact, it feels like the choice of an easily-led actor, not an agent. That said, I don’t think Shia’s that good of an actor anyway, so maybe there’s no career to begin with and he should get settled in for a few misses and then, well, some cop show when he’s 32.
Megan did nothing but hurt his career, of which he wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for Spielberg taking a liking to him. Karma’s a bitch Megan.
Wow, you all sound scared. If he goes it alone for a while and decides that he made a mistake, agents will fall all over themselves to get in line. In the mean time maybe he’ll save a few bucks…
Why not?
hey dum dum, hes still going to be paying wme for the next three or so years, and by that time, yeah he probably will be doing a cop drama on tv
Hope he saved his money. I grow weary of the Shia LaBeouf reign. There are far more deserving and talented actors out there, and one wrong move he stands to lose all of the momentum he’s made. He hasn’t built a brand that will last through this Wall Street film unless he wins critical acclaim. Good luck.
It would be a lot more appropriate if he chose the same representation system as Ethan Embry.
Silverman made Shia, and once he screws this up, comes to his senses, and returns, she’ll build him up again.
To A Tree In The Forest
You’re obviously not in the business and have no idea what you’re talking about unless you are plugging JJ Harris. First off, Charlize has horrible management right now. Yes, JJ Harris has a few really great clients, but she’s useless. Too old school and not up to the times, never checks emails and also is too lazy now a days to put in any effort. The agents to her clients are doing all the word. Trust me I now. This is one case I side with the agents even though they are scum especially those fools at WME like Michael Cooper who by the way was after Shia for years. He used to talk so much trash about megan Silverman it was unreal. Crosby is shady, but not an idiot. He knows exactly how to play all of the agents in town that are after Shia. Not only collecting 10% but also getting the other top agencies to do work for him while he dangles a Shia carrot in front of them. It’s clear as day. Thank god Crosby didn’t let Cooper get him. Crosby knows what’s up.
Megan made Shia. He should be grateful that so much was devoted to him. Managers appease. Agents tell it like it is. A good agent balances the art and commerce – Shia’s been happy so far. movies ain’t cheap to make, especially not with the price Megan got for Shia! he isn’t Leo yet, maybe was on his way but not yet. No one jumps in with the money if Shia wants some crappy project – he doesn’t have the power in art films yet – Leo did Gilbert grape THEN a Titanic. what’s Shia done that was as good as leo in GG? good luck!
Second that. I used to work at old Endeavor within hearing distance of Megan’s office and I can testify that she was completely devoted to Shia and his career. She killed herself for that kid.
agentless? he better hope that scorsese and speilberg land all of his jobs from now on… but they most likely will.
Is DiCaprio box office? Name a movie that he soley headlined that brought in profits. Companies oversell him on marketing and are always disappointed in the return.
Look at the worldwide #’s for The Beach
As long as you are sought after, you do not need both a manager and an agent. When people seek you out, you need one and a lawyer. If the phone stops ringing, then you can think about getting an agent again. I don’t think Shia’s phone is going to stop ringing anytime soon…unless he starts screwing up ala Lindsay Lohan.
To An Agent:
The comment is dead on. There is no need for an agent for A list talent. This is the future of agenting. It will be for new or low level talent trying to get to the next level. I worked at a major for 15 years. Every A lister received offers or producers sending scripts. There was nothing to do. Take Denzel for example. Does he need an agent? Please. It’s silly. For some reason the insecurity of most talent wins combined with the sophistication of agent speak. If Shai doesn’t get scared back into an agency is will prove to be a real man and the next step after Leo. Again, absolutely a waste to have an agent if you are an A lister. The artists discusses and trusts their manager. The deal is much better brokered by an attorney because most agencies bring in their own attorney anyway to do a big deal. It’s a waste of money for A list talent. A total waste and everyone knows it who is really in the know and has worked at the top of the top agency. It’s smoke and mirrors…
Thank you.
wow at a major for 15 years, thats a long time in the mailroom, how awful were u?
Shia probably has a ton of job offers. What do you need an agent for except to turn down roles at this point?
It’s not all rosy being a big Hollywood star. You figure your management team takes about 50% of your pay, and the government takes more than 50% of your money (if your residence is in California). A $4 million payday turns into a million. If they’re not doing any real work for you, then lose them. They made plenty of money off you when you were up-and-coming. You don’t need to subsidize their retirement.
but Shia is a Lindsay Lohan in disguise – everyone can fall, look at Tiger. He’s an arrested drunk, and a nasty drunk at that – they had to bail him outta jail. It’s only a matter of time. that manager is nuts too. His bigger team protected him from his demons and his actions – that hand is another example of his reckless nature. if he were anyone else/normal, he would have lost that hand right away. it was destroyed in that wreck. he is NOT Leo OR Denzel… They both made smart choices and never got into the types if crap Shia does. Watch and see….
Shia’s so hot
The end
Is this a move shia is doing because of working with the people he did on Wall Street 2? Oliver Stone had a lot of influence on Shia, finding a girlfriend, (making sure they were seen together to promote his film)
I don’t see this film making any money at the box office. I feel LaBeouf is trying to grow up too fast. he should stick with Speilberg, unless there is something going wrong there that we haven’t seen come out yet. He will be 25 when Transformers3 comes out. Shia needs the Joseph Gordon-Leavett persona in 1-2 independent films (New York,I love You was BAD AWFUL)
If he wants people to come see him in anything else Oliver Stone is not the one he should listen to.
Well maybe for girlfriends! lol!
What does Shia have to make it without an agent some of you ask? He has alot of talent, according to directors that he has worked with such as Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, D.J. Caruso and Oliver Stone just to name a few and from what I have heard they all really like Shia and think he is very talented. He has blockbuster movies that have made millions all over the world such as Disturbia, Eagle Eye, both Transformer movies, Indiana Jones and Holes. He is coming out with two movies getting alot of attention with big names attached to them in WS2 with Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas, and The Associate with John Grisham. I think he will be just fine with his Manager and Lawyer and if he needs to he can always find an agent again. As for the agent I doubt this is first big star who has (dumped) them and it won’t be the last that’s the business there in, there probably used it.
whew.. lots of name calling passing for commentary. Play nice, kiddos.
A number of A listers have either an agent or manager, not both. Titles don’t really matter if the actor is being well served, so, from the perspective of Shia, why pay two to do the work of one productive person?
As much as people want to bash agents this is not a swift move. Just because Leo does not have an agent does not mean that he will have the same success without one or any more success than he would have had with one – especially with John Crosby as his manager…no one would answer that guys’s call if not for Shia. He is a decent actor but is as lucky as he is talented. Transformers was a huge franchise because of Bay and the history of the toys, etc. Any young actor could have played that role. As for Indiana Jones, same thing – there was a huge fan base of Spielberg fans and of the franchise that had nothing to do with Shia. No matter how “hot” you are, you need someone out there working in a real way for your next jobs, not just a manger who will sit and answer the phone when it rings. People like Leo are the exception not the norm – you get the career of an actor you aspire to be by the work you do, not by following an agent or management pattern.
“Who’s your agent?”
“Nobody, of course. You mean, YOU have one of those? Is that some sort of tithing thing?”
(Ahhhh. God, that sounds nice.)
“agentless Hollywood?” Lou Wasserman`s screaming in his crypt. (short for scrypt)
The veil is finally lifted (for the blind)… AGENTS DO NOT GET CLIENTS WORK… they merely answer cold calls and emails, then pass the serious offers to the managers and lawyers (who have the talent’s trust and best interest at heart)… they are glorified realtors crossed with pimps… they cultivate fear to justify their existence… they do little or nothing to advance their clients careers once signed (and they usually only sign someone once they have already made a name for themselves and have earner power)… there’s no such thing as developmental clients at the agency anymore… that is what Disney and SNL are for (in fact, they should take 10% instead of the agents)… if there wasn’t some slight “coolness” to have a major agency repping you, likely every actor would get hip and lose them like one losses a professional matchmaker in the age of Jdate… and good luck to any agent who thinks they can get a vanity project set up for their star clients anymore… lol… the next train to fantasyland leaves in 10 minutes.
