Talk about a buzzkill: next time you go to the movies, it’s likely that you’ll get lectured about how to handle your credit cards. I’m not kidding. The Federal Reserve announced it is sponsoring 45-second advertisements in movie theaters with tips to help shoppers avoid unnecessary credit card charges and fees. (Like, duh, pay on time and don’t go over the credit limit.) The PSAs already have begun appearing before movie previews at 12 highly attended theaters in major metropolitan areas during the holidays. Several Federal Reserve Banks will make consumer literature available in the theater lobbies. Here’s an idea: watch these ads, go see The Road, and then look for a rope and a tree.

Just propaganda…The privately owned and ripe with moral hazard Fed has no interest in doing the right thing by consumers (quit saying it is a government agency…it isn’t!). It is simply trying to clean up its image because it knows that too many Americans are on to its dirty little secret, that it treats us like barcoded product to benefit the rich in this country and central bankers!
Many irresponsible people used their credit cards to secure medical care and fill perscriptions. Most hospitals demand a credit card in the Emergency Room before treatment. Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Clinics require that the deductable and the 20% to 30% of charges that the insurance won’t pay be paid for in cash or put on a credit card before the procedure scheduled.
Other people use their credit cards to pay for monthly prescription medicine bills that can run hundresd or thousands of dollars a month.
Some just use their cards to charge food and gas becasue their wages are dropping compared to the rise of basic core living costs that there isn’t enough money left if there is an unexpected house or auto repair bill.
Just tell me who owns the fed?????? and not just the corporate fronts, the people behind them, and who controls them???
Who does Bernanke take orders from????
When you knw this you have started the journey to the truth, and then maybe you should start to both issue vouchers and accept vouchers for work in half hours. Mmm… would the fed or the banks like this?
