I found this interesting: Tobey Maguire last night was a guest on Conan and said the Sony Pictures execs wouldn’t give him the Spider-Man suit even after he shot the first and second movies in the franchise. (Insiders now claim he never asked…) Calling it humilating, he said he mentioned it on Oprah. Only then did the studio send him not just one but two Spidey suits.

Meanwhile Spidey co-creator/artist Steve Ditko gets zip from the movie franchise. Wonderful.
Since it is part of my job to make sure that people don’t walk off with the studio’s property that will later be used for Publicity, Marketing or the Studio’s Archives. I have some advice. Just ASK the proper people, often times you will find we bend over backwards to accommodate requests or will provide a reason if the answer is no. The sense of ‘entitlement’ in this business is disgusting and it usually comes from the people who make enough money to buy small islands for themselves.
