• how does funny or die not die as a website. Rarely anything funny. Conan V Zucker is ripe for parody and this is the best they can come up with?

• This was not smart of Conan to do. It’s only going to make Jeff Zucker/NBC angrier. Zucker’s solutions seem pretty idiotic though. And I’m in the tunnel if you call in the next 30 seconds sounds desperately/like a stalker. Just my two cents.

• Yikes, you have to be careful. I don’t know Jeff Zucker. All I’ve been told is that he’s a total a**hole d**khead, so when you posted this, I thought it was actually him leaving these voicemails, just being an a-hole, taunting Conan. It was only at the last second that I caught the “funny or die” title at the bottom.

  You’re *think* it would be obvious. But with the way the media’s painted this guy, it sounded exactly like the person they were talking about.

• As someone who didn’t particularly sympathize with Conan, I found Dick Ebersol’s comments in the Times to be so classless and so utterly graceless that I hope Conan takes NBC for all he can and then obliterates Jay in the ratings on Fox.

  How many ways could you have less class than Ebersol’s comments?

  - He says he and Zucker are “big boys” but then proceeds to act as Zucker’s beard.
  - He blames Conan but fails to take any responsibility for Zucker or himself for the worst scheduling decisions in the history of modern television.

  • How many ways could you have less class than Ebersol’s comments?

    let’s see………CONAN. I used to be a fan, watched Late Night, but then started watching Craig (much funnier), I thought Conan was a nice guy, but after his actions & comments this week, I will never watch him again. Is NBC supposed to keep him on the tonight show as long as he wants? to fulfill his childhood dream? what about ratings, $$$$$$? Ebersol is totally correct, he was told to tweak the show for 11:30, he didn’t listen. He would have been replaced within a year with or without Leno.

    • No Stephanie, you’re wrong. It was classless… and gutless, for Zucker to send other people to do his dirty work and not stand up publicly. Isn’t that what being the boss and being in charge is supposed to be? You’re the man, you take the front, don’t send underlings. And also Stephanie, did you know that Ebersol’s Olympics is losing $200 million dollars? Think that has anything to do with NBC’s bad bottom line? You think maybe he shouldn’t be lecturing anyone? You don’t know what conversations Ebersol had with O’Brien, you only have his comments in an interview, so don’t get too indignant.

• LOVE this. Jeff Zucker is a moron that should be fired immediately. Bonehead decision after bonehead decision. So easily lampooned. Whoever made this comedy bit should be sent in to replace him. At least they get it.
