Die Hard 5? Sounds like he’s trying to catch Stallone.
Yippie Kay-Yay…
Is it just me, or when they cut to the interviewer, are we seeing an over-the-shoulder shot of a completely different person?
Yeah, it looked like it was Tracy Morgan.
I think he’s interviewing Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan at the same time; that would be my guess.
It’s his co-star Tracy Morgan.
It’s Tracy Morgan. He’s sitting to Willis’s left.
Yep – looks like Tracy Morgan’s cut away shot – maybe they forgot to get one over Bruce Willis’ shoulder and hoped no one would notice – either that or a really bad editor!
As an editor, I can tell you – you can’t edit what they don’t shoot.
This was obviously from a much longer piece which establishes the physical relationship between the three players…
That’s Tracy Morgan. The guy is interviewing both of them and is clearly looking to Morgan’s right where Bruce Willis is sitting.
Tracy is besides Bruce, so yes.
Unbreakable is long overdue for a sequel. While the first one wasn’t a mega-hit, I think an action-packed sequel with Willis and Jackson would be huge at the box office.
Yeah but who would write? Direct?
I enjoyed the 1st one. Actually enjoyed SIGNS too. Unfortunately, Night was abducted by the very aliens he wrote about and his replacement his gawd awful.
He has truly become a cautionary tale. Hey kids, here’s what happens when you are worshiped by your reps, given final cut by the studio and called the next Spielberg in the mags.
I guess after “Surrogates” and the soon to suck “Cop Out” Bruce Willis is going all Stallone on us. Resurrecting dead franchises to make a buck.
How is Die Hard a dead franchise? Live Free or Die Hard was a huge success at the box office(made almost 400 Million dollars worldwide) and then made over 100 million dollars in DVD sales. Don’t see how Die Hard could be dead with those numbers.
BO for entries in a longstanding franchise say more about the movie before (which the audience is hoping to see again)…the last Schulmacher Batman pic supposedly made money but everyone could see that the audience would never line up for another one…see also Quantum of Solace which benefited from Casino Royale’s rep but was widely seen as a failure to capitalize
Die Hard 4 was a piece of shit with tissue thin plot, it had no point beyond that of the last Indy movie, to take the money of series fans before they realize they are being swindled…goodwill was destroyed
Die Hard 4 was hardly garbage. It was exciting and funny. When I saw it in the theater opening day, people cheered in a couple spots. Bruce gave a true Movie Star performance, and it was an absolute pleasure to watch him connect in the role again.
Die Hard 4′s reviews were close to universally positive (81% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes; a 69 rating on Metacritic) and it did great business in both the cinemas (when it opened against the first “Transformers” flick and held its own for two months) and on DVD.
here’s an idea… make something new! die hard 5? are you fucking kidding me. god awful filmmaking.
5 films is nothing. Friday the 13t has 12, A Nightmare on Elm Street has 7(soon to be 8), Halloween has 10, Saw has 6(soon to be 7), Hellraiser has 8, Children of the Corn has 7, Police Academy has 7, Amityville Horror has 8, The Pink Panther has 11, Star Trek has 11, Godzilla has 29, and James Bond has 22(soon to be 23) just to name a few. If people like a character they will go see it many times. It is all about money and Die Hard movies sill make a lot of money.
Nice cutaway @ :50 seconds in when the reversal shows an over-Tracy-Morgan’s shoulder shot of the interviewer.
I don’t go to the theater much, anymore, but both these movies would put my ass in the seat! Cannot wait!
Willis is a good actor who has the tendency to go back to the well again and again. While Die Hard 5 might be alright, I don’t think anybody cares about Unbreakable at this point. Bruce seriously needs to move on and do something a little more original. After all, he can afford to at this point.
Resurrecting dead franchises>? Last time I checked, Die Hard 4 only came out a few years ago and it did fairly well at the box office. I could understand complaining about DH being a dead franchise then but comparing it to Rocky and Rambo now is a bit of a stretch.
I think we could always use another Die Hard, just as we anticipate further Bond pics. Lot’s of action and fun. It’s one of the big reasons people will head to the movies- to see a big screen flick. The trick will be coming up with a clever twist/new plot. Maybe move outside a US city or maybe he’s on vacation on an island and get’s attacked by terrorists. Could it flop? Sure. It’s all about execution.
Wow, Willis really sounded enthusiastic about his acting craft and didn’t sound at all like all he cares about is a paycheck…
I will see Unbreakable 2 on TWO conditions:
1. It isn’t filmed in what seemed like slow motion (like they did the first one). That was SOOOO BOOOORING.
2. There isn’t a lame twist at the end, like M. Night seems to think he always HAS to do.
As for Die Hard 5? Bring it on! The 4th was the best in the series (or at least tied with #1).
At his age, the fifth installment should be “Die Limp”
Why not a Moonlighting movie? I’d pay fifteen bucks to see him and Cybill Shepherd go at it again.
I second that. I’d kill to see those two back together on the screen, big or small.
I wonder if those two still can’t stand being around each other, like how it was towards the middle of that series.
Moonlighting movie = Best idea ever. David Addison was Bruce’s best role ever. I feel sorry for people who have never seen him in Moonlighting. He has never come close to the acting he did for that show. He and Cybill together again could totally work. Think “Something’s Gotta Give” or “It’s Complicated”. Bruce and Cybill said they would do it if Glenn Caron created a good script.
Why bother? If your going to rehash that franchise, get a fresh face and do it as a “Reboot” or “2.0″ or whatever they want to call a remake now a days.
Lev
I think it is Tracy Morgan who is in Cop Out movie with Bruce Willis.
Cop-Out looks terrible, just terrible. Tracy Morgan is not funny.
Die Hard 5 and Unbreakable 2 are bad ideas.
Only two people who want an UNBREAKABLE sequel — M. Night and Bruce.
Film was dubbed “unwatchable” when it was in theaters…
by who? you? most of the people i know consider that one shyamalan’s better movies.
Lev,
It looks like BW and Tracy Morgan are sitting next to each other and the shot is behind Morgan’s shoulder although the interviewer is clearly looking to the right.
It is weird though.
Is it junket fatigue or is Bruce Willis really that jaded? I’ve interviewed a lot of celebrities (somehow, not him) and he just seems to be taking himself wayyyy too seriously.
Is it junket fatigue, or is Bruce Willis really that jaded? What’s with the ‘tude? It’s not Shakespeare, man.
Eagerly Waiting for Die Hard5
How about a Moonlighting Big screen deal?
Death Becomes her 2.
