The notoriously reclusive filmmaker has lured no less than Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, and Olga Kurylenko into the as yet untitled love story he’s written and directed. Shooting begins this fall. Now FilmNation Entertainment has come on board to handle the international sales and distribution of the pic which will be available to foreign buyers for the first time at the European Film Market in Berlin. The film will be produced by Nicolas Gonda, Sarah Green and Bill Pohlad. Malick’s previous films include: Badlands, Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line and The New World. His latest The Tree of Life is due for release this year.

He’s already written and directed his next film??
Not if shooting begins this fall. I’m sure that’s a typo.
More importantly, this should mean that he has finally finished editing ‘Tree of Life’ (starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn). Can’t wait.
Hold on to your hats, Malick has found a way to save some major cash. Must certainly involve time travel. Why cast a movie you’ve already shot?
AWESOME. Wonder if this is the rumored Sir Gawain project.
Malick is a god.
So many bad movies out there. How great is it T Malick is in full stride
Terrence is really pumping them out … that’s good news
The Thin Red Line is without a doubt the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Great cast…worst writing ever. It was like bad drunken poetry.
No. THE NEW WORLD.
film fan: dumbest comment ever.
I can’t wait to see Christian Bale in a romantic drama! It’s a long time dream come true to me! He’s so gorgeous and such a talented actor.I’m litterally in love with his John Rolfe, from “The New World”. Malick can really get the best out of him!
Another Christian Bale movie? Oh god…. Who is this guy’s agent anyway, God? An extremely dull, one dimensional performer who was born devoid of a sense of humor. But hey, with camera technology today a good director can turn any 5’7″ wannabe into a major action star and no one will be the wiser.
Intensity or feigned intensity does not an actor make. Fake voices like the horrible amateurish one used in Batman does not an actor make.
This guy is more overexposed than Hulk Hogan coming out of a Miami tanning salon. Give it a rest Bale. Let someone else rise to the occasion. Jesus I miss Heath Ledger. I really, really miss that guy.
Malick is a distributor’s worse nightmare… his films always lose money and put companies under. Unless this film is being sold as a $15m or less title, buyers should run away.
