This movie is going to be so sick. it looks like so much fun and the script and comic were both great. sylvain is outstanding visual director and he knows how to tell a story, does great action and make it fun. it’s going to have a solid opening and more importantly it will have legs. the a-team better get really scared because it’s going to get hawkeyed by a loser!

WB smells weakness as they got a good film and Fox got a turkey.

I guess WB is really confident about THE LOSERS.
I would think it would do better with a less-crowded Spring opening, but hey their property, their release, their responsibility.

I don’t get this move. It’s an old way of thinking to assume that big money can ONLY be made during the summer when “everyone” is going to the movies. 300 proved that a big actioner in the Spring can bring in money.
Why move the movie to a week before A-Team? The same exact audience will hop off the Losers train and onto the A-Team, while the people who hear about the Losers based on positive word-of-mouth will likely decide to go see the brand that they’re somewhat familiar with…namely, the A-Team (which will clearly be the inferior film).
Dumb move, WB.

‘The Losers’ must’ve tested through the roof for WB to make this move. WB is playing chicken w/Fox, obviously. I think it stinks though that both of these movies will suffer from the saturation.

I think all WB cares about with this is snuffing out A-Teams’ potential. If The Losers suffers, so be it.
Wow, a team of military professionals wrongly accused/betrayed and take action x2. Great idea to put them head to head in a way.

I love reading comments above were people have made judgments that somehow ‘The Losers’ is a better movie than ‘A-Team most’ which is most likely based on the two minute trailers for both movies. Its hilarious.
Listen up, at this point no ones definitely which movie is better. I hear Losers is pretty much crapping on the Vertigo comics that its based on.

I’m shocked that they did this. It tested surprisingly well, but, man this film is a dog. Of course, there’s no accounting for taste. Having seen this film, I was of the opinion that it’s only saving grace was that it was being released far enough away from A-Team to be “in the clear”. Then, they change it to go head to head. It’s going to get killed.
It’s a mediocre film, but cost very little to make, so it will probably turn a profit regardless. But there’s no way that it will last with A Team following up right behind it.

To me, it’s obvious this move is to get the Losers out of the Clash of the Titans 2nd weekend. Studio knows Titans is a monster and why let the movies cannibalize each other?

I just saw this is the same weekend as GET HIM TO THE GREEK. I just saw the trailer to GREEK movie and OH MY GOD IT LOOKS SO HILARIOUS !!!! I don’t know if this is the same audience, but my money is on GREEK to be the monster movie of the summer– it looks unbelievable and Jonah Hill and Russell Brand are hilarious together! My two cents because this trailer killed me !!!

That A-Team trailer reeked of MEH from the start. The Losers also boast the Saldana factor, which the A-Team is sorely lacking.

I love how people hate on the A Team after One Trailer. And are all over the Losers after one trailer. I mean if you look at the talent involved in both projects my bet is on the A Team being a better a film. Ridley and Tony Scott are producing the A-Team. Joe Carnahan is directing. I know people have issues with Carnahan, but Narc is a great cop movie. Smokin Aces I like personally for what it was. But that is a movie that you either hate or love. But the action scenes like in every Carnahan movie are kick ass. Watch his BMW short film too called the Ticker with Don Cheadle. The guy can direct action. Not to mention look who’s starring in the movie. The star of Taken, The star of District 9, the star of the Hangover. Plus you have Jessica Beil as a sex factor. And you have Patrick Wilson as the bad guy. The only question I think is Ramapage Jackson. But then again Mr. T was no thespian. So I don’t get the big issue over him. Mr. T basically played himself in that show. And the show was high 80s action camp.
The Losers should have moved to August or stayed in the spring. They have no big names to hang their hat on. Not a one. and in May to July you need big names to open movies. Especially if you’re a quirky Action Thriller.

This was easy to see coming. They moved it to the same weekend as GET HIM TO THE GREEK and then panicked when they saw the GREEK trailer. Warner Bros is doing a bunch of movies with Russell Brand — they wanted nothing to do with even a potential conflict with GREEK.
