Brillstein Entertainment Partners has hired former New York-based William Morris agent Brian Stern to become a manager in the company’s Gotham headquarters in Tribeca. BEP opened its New York outpost last fall, setting veteran manager Stacy O’Neil to head it. Stern’s clients include The Daily Show’s Samantha Bee, Saturday Night Live writer Bryan Tucker, playwright Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), Amy Landecker (A Serious Man) and Dan Milano, creator of the MTV series Warren the Ape.
“Bryan has worked closely with many of our colleagues in Los Angeles and has proven himself to be incredible effective,” O’Neil said.

always liked stern….good hire
Love stern….he’s kind of a prick, but in a good way—make sense?
couple of years back he screwed me on a deal for jennifer hudson…but afterwards he made good and handled it in a way i never saw from a agent before…menschy guy
that is some impressive list…pause…pause…
This guy is great..always respected his taste and work ethic
way to go Stern – good list and good hire….glad they are expanding in NY
STERN!!!!
hes hot
Sounds like the wife.
was a solid agent at wma….happy to see the good guys doing well in this shitty climate…
Brian is a great guy. Always followed through — from his early days as an assistant and as an agent. He is classy and professional. Good for him.
great, now he’ll never call me back
Good guy
I hope he is not expecting free seats at SNL. Why is it that agents hate managers and then become one.
are you nuts? agents love managers because they handle most of the bullshit and keep the pain in the ass clients off their phone sheets. The agents that don’t work with managers simply just don’t get it. The reality is some agents feel threatened by them, but really they should embrace them.
Good for brillstein and good for stern….he always seemed more like a manager at wma
Brillstein expanding in NY? Agressive move beating the others to the punch…go get em Brian
Brian’s a great guy. This is a really good grab.
Good luck buddy
Who’s “O’Neil?”
He has an uphill battle ahead, but he’ll do great!
Who the hell is this guy?
Thank you.
I had the pleasure of floating on BS’s desk. He’s a nice guy. A bit troubled in the mind but not mean spirited. Friendly although slightly slow if you know what I mean. Kind of guy that can sit there for years without much notice. That said, he’s fun too. Although some thought he might be a little, well, ya know…but not that that matters.
Ding Dong.
Best comment ever.
Honestly, he’s a friend of mine. Total idiot. No business sense. Thinks about hollwood and music but he is totally clueless. He was never really an agent a William Morris. Really just a glorified assistant. Feel sorry for the dudes that hired him. By the way, he is also a compulsive liar. Good thing I’m friends with him, huh?
he is not a friend of yours if you think of him like that. they chose him for a reason so maybe you should just be happy for him if he IS your “friend”
