• Good for Taylor and his team to rake it in before the truth of his…uhhh…”talent” comes out. (Re-watch this trailer for a glimpse)

  Surround this kid with powerhouse actors and get him a better coach; the world will never know and he just might have a lengthy career.

  Focus on the deals ($) and not his abilities and he’ll suffer the consequences (Course, he’ll be rich too).

  On the same note, much ado was said about Keanu back in the day. I made some comments myself. Homeboy’s still around.

  • A bit of male eye-candy goes a long way. Imagine what a cute hunk could have done for (sadly Speedman-less and completely redundant) Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

    Instead some… err, someone had the terrific idea to cast “real actor” and eyesore Michael Sheen as the love interest of Rhona Mitra. Seriously… wtf? I only watched that film of the franchise because I had to and enjoyed the always fabulous Bill Nighy along the way (as always, he rocks).

    If you absolutely have to choose between looks and stellar acting chops, you have to know who your audience is and decide accordingly. Why is that so hard to understand? Are you a member of the target audience? Lautner can get away with the dumbest answers in interviews…

    Btw – don’t you ever get tired of the Keanu bashing?

      Sorry but what you just said makes no sense. Sheen was the lead in UW:RotL because the movie was about his character from UW, lycan leader Lucian. Eye-candy or not, he played the character in the first movie and therefore in the prequel as well.

      Also, as far as I know UW fandom and I know it well, Lucian is far more popular than blando Michael whose sole existance is to play damsel in distress to selene`s hero, although he`s supposed to be most powerful being or something. yet it`s always Selene who saves the day because Mikey can`t.

      Finally, regardless of who eyecandy is or isn`t, UW launched Sheen`s career in Hollywood while Speedman kinda disappeared. Probably because Sheen has acting chops and Speedman isn`t as big eye candy as Lautner, Pattinson and co, just to go back on topic.

      That said, Eclipse trailer (full one) disappointed me for its utter lack of action. Too many characters repeating the same lines and just standing around. Like new Victoria, though. Bryce looks almost like Rachelle but more feline. Big props.

      Otherwise, boring trailer, worst of Twilight trailers. I was really exciting about the first movie and especially New Moon, but this looks too talky. bring on the second trailer.

• Errr, um … personally this “Twilight” fixation is getting a bit uncomfortable. And now a 10 second clip from YouTube is a “Hot Trailer?”

  I liked it better when we all kept our personal titillation material private and didn’t try to foist the stuff off onto others who clearly weren’t interested in the same.

    But thank you trailer-makers for saving me money & my valuable time…since they usually put the best stuff in the trailers I know I can easily skip this. Just like the others before it.

    I’ll be so glad when people finally get bored with this stuff & Nikki gets more hits from people other than Twihards.

    • We need a new, much more pointed name for the sad, lonely, desperate fans of this wannabe of a franchise. “Twihards” really does nothing to describe the character of these individuals. It’s far too kind. So to forever replace “twihards,” I nominate TWI-HAGS! It’s PERFECT! Just like that, um, “other” kind of hag, TWI-HAGS are sad, mixed-up, severely unattractive women who can’t carry on a normal relationship with a normal man because no normal man would ever let themselves get within spitting distance of them. That is, if they could help it. I have had the distinctive displeasure of standing behind a pair of hideous TWI-HAGS in the grocery checkout lane and having to tolerate the TWI-HAGS’ inane babbling on about their fantasy men who, if they were real, would have so many options, none of which would include being in the same zip code as these pig ugly TWI-HAGS. Oh, please, oh, please, oh, please, Lord almighty, please let the term TWI-HAGS become a meme on the internets! That name again is TWI-HAGS, TWI-HAGS, TWI-HAGS! Sorry to repeat myself but it’ll help you remember. TWI-HAGS! Reject them by name!
