It appears to be the season for agency switching, and Paradigm is getting in on the action. The agency signed actress Taraji P. Henson and screenwriter/producer Bobby Moresco. Henson was Oscar nominated for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, she will soon open in the Steve Carell-Tina Fey comedy Date Night and was just signed by director Tom Hanks to co-star with him and Julia Roberts in Larry Crowne at Universal.
Moresco, who shared an Oscar with Paul Haggis for writing Crash, and who is currently writing Hubris for Universal and director Todd Field, Lucky Luciano for producer Joe Isgro and Castro’s Daughter, a film he hopes to direct. Moresco was also exec producer of the Starz series Crash and is developing a half hour for the cable network with Colin Quinn. Both Henson and Moresco were at UTA, and followed David Guillod, who exited UTA and moved to Paradigm last fall.

Paradigm is still around?!?!
Paradigm?? C’mon Taraji…
If Paradigm is the agency that will do the work she needs done on her behalf then good for her and good for them. Being at CAA, WME, et al is meaningless if they aren’t going to put in the time for you.
Paradigm seems to be losing it. Better step it up…Need to promote a few of the assistants to add to the fire.
Meow on the Taraji front…
What a cat, and catch.
Good on ya Paradigm for keeping things sexy.
Yeah, Paradigm, kickin’ & screamin’…
It was only a matter time until David Guillod assumed the reigns and put his stamp on Paradigm. With his tenure fully underway this guy will surely rattle some cages and give the place a much needed talent infusion and face lift. No more back seat to the bigger boys or second class status with him at the helm. Good for Sam. He’s a class act and deserves the notoriety.
UTA blows. David went to Paradigm which is a ship without a leader but he will hopefully over take Steve Small and his small…ego to right that ship. Darren went to CAA and he is ROCKING over there. What did UTA get? Kevin Volchok? Brittany Balbo? The rejects from WME?? Really???
Paradigm’s that one agency that signed Oscar-winner Sharon Stone…and then proceeded to book her on a 4 episode arc of Law & Order, right?
Just checking…
Yep. They managed to get her a job when no one else could get her a gig. No one in this town wants that crazy maker on their set.
Also, refresh my memory – what did Sharon Stone WIN an Oscar for?
‘Cause you sound like an expert.
My bad, you are correct. She WON a Golden Globe, but was only an Oscar NOMINEE.
I guess that explains why it’s perfectly okay that Paradigm could only be get her a 4 episode arc on Law & Order. Now it all makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up, Hank.
To repeat: Sharon Stone is batshit crazy. Nobody wants to work with her. She’s at Paradigm because she’s traversed all the top tier agencies, some of them three times before going to Paradigm.
I think Paradigm has the power to suprise. They have a few nice youngsters who could break soon, one of whom bagged a lead in “Luck” for HBO with another of their clients.
I’m sure agents from there will eventually leap to other agencies when their clients mature. But then success may encourage the rest of the pack to keep up.
It’s an interesting mix over there. They just need someone like Guillod to grab the business by the scruff and steer it.
Taraji is a serious talent. Moresco is an ace. Great for Paradigm. Under Guillod, I’m sure their new moniker will soon be “The Digm.” More will follow.
Paradigm is a joke. Some of the crappiest writers in town. Spring Break Zombie Cruise 3D anyone?
I think this thread is about actors.
Also you can’t tell me that the other agencies don’t have shitty writers. Bounty Hunter anyone?
Para-WHO?? Haven’t heard much out
of there lately.
What’s wrong with Moresco’s teeth? He looks like a horse! His dentist must be repped at Paradigm as well!
are these supposed to be big signings?
