• Protected “OUR” liberties?
  You mean the Constitution that deemed Native Americans & people of African descent weren’t human in order to enslave them, steal their land & commit genocide against them?
  The same Constitution that was ignored to inter innocent Japanese citizens during World War 2?
  What about the liberties that all Americans have lost because of the Patriot Act?
  Or because they’re gay re: DADT?

  People like you truly disgust me. You drape your bigotry, lies & hate w/ the Constitution then try to pretend that the injustices throughout history never happened.

  President Obama is not the problem, nor is an administration that has been stuck w/ the task of cleaning up after the worst administration in history.

  The problem is ignorant dishonest racists like you who are so frightened that the white male supremacist oligarchy that you’ve relied on for preferential treatment is ending you will do anything to undermine the attempts to right the plethora of wrongs that have plagued this country for generations.
  That obviously includes believing someone as evil as Glenn Beck.

• If Stewart is so brilliant how come he never gets bigger numbers? It’s like the people who claim Conan O’Brien is a genius yet he couldn’t get half of what boring Jay Leno was pulling in. Comic genius – really???? Seems to me that greatness would equal great ratings! These guys all fall short!

  • The comparison between Jon Stewart’s show and Colbert’s to media ratings is invalid.

    1. Those shows appear on Comedy Central *not a news network*
    2 As per point #1 because it appears a network called Comedy Central, people are not aware that a show like this appears on their network.

    Saying that Stewart and Colbert “fall short” based on ratings is a unfair, invalid comparison. Also, judging greatness based on ratings is just shallow.

• WI was introduced to Fox news by someone I know, and where I had always ignored Fox news as irrelevant, started paying attention, and watched some nauseating Glenn Beck shows. I LOVED Jon Stewart’s parody, and its subtle, repeated point that government regulation of dangerous things, particularly environmental toxins, does not automatically lead to communism or fascism, as Glenn Beck implies, no, STATES over and over.
  The Fox News channel, and its sleazy propogandist Glenn Beck, (who harkens back to the McCarthy era) is dangerous, in that the Tea Party movement, sincere though its “attendees” may be, is meant to eliminate Big Government so that it can’t regulate Big Business. We have just seen what happens when Big Business takes over and destroys our economy as it pursues its greedy goals. Hurrah for Jon Stewart, as he crusades against this dangerous propaganda.

• i think what john did was absolutely funny and pokes fun at the very fact that several ideologies are flawed and that people who have become slaves to their TV sets and no longer inquire ask and even care would be anesthetized to all the crazy that glen beck has been firing off One also should not blur the lines of comedy satire and news however these three have a certain ability to interchange what maybe comedy to some may see as news and what others may see as news is actually ramblings of a very paranoid and narrow sighted mind

• Beck is a Mormon-a Mormon! Where are those gloden plates Joseph Smith? The Mormons believe some funny crap, Jesus came to the Americas, they have special sex clothes(not sexy stuff), Black people were not even allowed in the church until 1978, you can redeem your ancestors, they won’t let you in to there temples unless you are a member, no coffee,no cokes, no alochol(Jesus turned water into WINE!)the LDS religion believes in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as separate beings. They also believe that God, Jesus and resurrected beings have bodies of “flesh and bone.”
  Mormons believe that God created multiple worlds and each world has people living on it. They also believe that multiple Gods exist but each has their own universe. Beck is a Mormon, his early use of Alcohol and drugs burned up a lot of his brain, but he has been able to make a grand career out of nonsence! People will buy anything.
