EXCLUSIVE: Zombieland‘s Emma Stone has gotten offers for two studio leads in the span of a week. Stone has been set to star with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in the untitled Dan Fogelman-scripted marital crisis comedy that John Requa and Glen Ficarra will direct at Warner Bros. She then got a DreamWorks offer to play the lead in The Help, the movie adaptation of the Kathryn Stockett novel about African-American domestic servants and their wealthy white employers in pre-Civil Rights era Mississippi. Tate Taylor wrote the script and will direct, and Stone will play Skeeter, a young woman who returns with the intention of writing a tell-all, fueled by the stories of the servants. Some of the momentum comes from her work in the Will Gluck-directed Screen Gems film Easy A, which tested strongly for the studio.

ZOMBIELAND is not good because of her. I just don’t understand the appeal. Nothing against her, she just does nothing for me and for the films she is in.

Hate to break it to the haters on here, but people who are not in the business, i.e. regular movie fans, love this girl. Especially, guys in their 20′s.
I was kind of stunned when a hipster guy in NYC told me Emma Stone was his favorite actress. I didn’t even know who he was talking about until he said “the redhead in Superbad”.
She definitely has fans.
I have been following her since she was in Superbad. I’m so glad that she is finally getting noticed!
Some of these comments are so nasty.
Emma is very relatable to girls and young women, she has terrific comic timing and chooses interesting films. People I know who have worked with her say she is sweet, prepared, has a great work ethic and nice to everyone. This should be rewarded among young actors. I think she will be big, and the studios are smart to snap her up now while she is affordable.
Flash in the pan. Like 99% of the young actresses in Hollywood.
Emma’s the best. She’s smart as fuck, very cool and talented beyond belief. Plus her head’s screwed on straight, take note LL. Having worked with her a few times I couldn’t be happier for her.
And screw the snarkiness- maybe I’m in the minority – but she was even great in The Rocker – half the reason I liked it so much…. She’s ALWAYS good.

You are all such cynical, evil, black hearted people who are unhappy with the way their life is going and abuse those who are achieving success in an attempt to quell you’re own self loathing. Anyone who is talented, has their head on straight, and earns report of being a sweet person should be congratulated, supported, and given credit for making it in an impossible business. Start being nice, you’ll find the weight being lifted off your heart and your soul. Evil wears you down. Make a change. At the end of your life do you want to look back and see that you wasted your life being evil and bitter? Do it today. Start with something small…like not posting venomous comments about someone you do not know. If you had a run in with her and she was a jerk…by all means fire away. Go take a walk, play with a puppy…have a drink…just repair your life and stop with all the blackness for your own sakes.
Very well said JJ, 99% of the people who come on here seem to be bitter malcontents who hate the fact that they failed in the business, so the only way to make themselves feel better is to bash people who actually were successful.
She has been in some funny movies, but after I saw her in “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” I cannot stand to watch her in anything. Yes, that movie was a trainwreck, but she was the worst thing about it! Over acting broad irritating derivative … awful. I don’t get it.
