Wow, over 300 movies, and not a single one of them new to DVD. Thanks a lot, guys.
Amazing how “The Poseidon Adventure” is ignored. That film made more money in adjusted dollars than “Star Wars Episode II” and “Episode III” and more than “Terminator 2″. Fox always considers it some bastard child of theirs when in fact it was a blockbuster.
I agree masterdisaster….we need a petition for TPA…I hope the long delay means they are taking the time to release it later and make it look amazing….it deserves to be in with the rest of the classics…like you said, it was a HUGE moneymaker for Fox and one of the films that saved them after the Hello Dolly disaster at the box office…I sure hope we see it soon…I’m salivating just waiting to see it in hi def!!!

= clearly they left out one additional factor: directed by Steven Spielberg. Or else could they please tell me for which of the reasons they gave was Minority Report selected.
Once again with 100′s of films never released on DVD,or even VHS, Fox has once again reissued the same stuff on DVD and BD (Although i’m looking forward to “Rocky Horror Picture Show” on BD!)
Some of these titles go back to the first batch of 50 FOX titles released by Magnetic back in 1978!
When will some of the classics be released? like the Jane Withers pictures? Where’s the remining Will Rogers films? A Don Ameche Box set? A Cesar Romero Box Set? There’s stuff that doesn’t even run on FOX MOVIE CHANNEL anymore and they own the darn things!
Here Here. I am always on about this but it gets me nowhere. I would buy any classic sets of unissued pre-1950 titles on DVD, or Bu Ray.
Please Nikki, just shut up and hope to be around long enough to celebrate at all. Blog life is notoriously short.
Cleopatra remains the most expensive movie ever made adjusted for inflation it cost 300 million and lost at least 250 million. It was much more expensive than Titanic almost as much as Avatar cost. When are they going to change the name to 21st Century Fox?
Yes, great news…but FOX….WHERE IS THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE??????????????? You released a wonderful Blu-ray of The Towering Inferno…hope you do the same eventually with TPA….PLEASE….my dvd copy is wearing out…
I’d love to get all of Jane withers movies on DVD too. fox needs to release them. Her fans demand it! Hear us fox?
