EXCLUSIVE: Two new ladies are entering Hank Moody’s world. Carla Gugino and Addison Timlin have landed major season-long arcs on the upcoming Season 4 of Showtime’s Californication. Over 10 episodes, Entourage alumna Gugino (repped by CAA) will 
play a new love interest to troubled novelist Hank Moody (David Duchovny), a likeable corporate attorney. Moody is expected to go through the legal system this coming season after being dragged away in handcuffs in the last scene of the Season 3 finale. Appearing in eight episodes, Gersh-repped Timlin (Cashmere Mafia) will play an actress starring in the film within the show.

This series got a bit silly last season – still good – just a bit goofy. The last episode was the best.
I love this show, it is art reflecting life, well one most of us have or would like to have….Why make us wait so long…JAN;;;;;;;;;;;;;

It’s not stupid that every single women in the show throws themselves at Moody in every episode though. I mean c’mon. Soft porn plots have more reality.
So, all shows are supposed to be realistic all of a sudden? Like, say, “Lost,” for instance? Or “True Blood”? Films too? Like, “The Hangover”? Or “Avatar”? Super realism, there, in both of those. Yes, let’s only tell realistic stories from now on, with no exaggeration allowed, for comedic effect, or otherwise.
It’s a goofy comedy, with some soulful heart thrown in. Lighten up a millimeter or so.
This means that the gorgeous and talented Carla Gugino will have nude scenes. I predict a rise in ratings, among other things.

Carla Gugino gets more shots at being a star and yet she always falls short. Is it talent or just bad luck?
That’s a really good point re: Carla- and methinks she is getting past her prime- the role in watchmen didn’t help.
Who said something about this NOT being real?.. I am Hank Moody’s alter ego.. Not trying to boast, but all my friends say I am Hank. The BS that follows me around, due to no real fault of my own, is astonishing, and ALL due to crazy women. What I have found in my 40 yrs. of “life” is a good looking guy, with a little money, and doesn’t really care to show it off, seems to be a major turn on, and c’mon guys… you’re single and a beautiful lady wants to go home with ya??.. Please!!.. This is a GREAT show !! and is VERY relavent to me and the many, many guys out there with the same situations… all chicks are crazy!!.. ” I love women, I have ALL their albums”.. hahahahahahahaa……………..
Best show on television by far. The people who think it’s “lame”, don’t see the point, yada yada are just not opening their eyes or paying attention to the story behind the show. It’s definitely a show you have to watch, for more than one episode. SOOO… Before anybody talks down on Californication, watch a couple episodes from the first show. You’ll get it. Whether you love or hate Hank Moody, he’s the best character on tv and it’s the best character study show on and is the best in a LONG time.
