I hear there’s been little progress yet made in the talks between the actor and Two and a Half Men producer Warner Bros TV as both sides are taking their time. But my sources say that will change soon. People involved in the talks tell me they are optimistic a deal will be done within the final week before CBS’ May 19th upfront presentation. (WBTV has been there before, working to close deals with the cast of Friends hours before NBC’s upfront.) Meanwhile, Charlie got rid of his trademark mane in favor of a not-so-camera-friendly buzz cut. And CBS keeps working on contingency plans programming-wise if Two and a Half Men does not return.
From the figures I’ve heard, Sheen would receive more than a million dollars per episode, including his piece of the backend, but not as high as the $1.5-$2 million figures being thrown around on the Internet. In his only statement on the subject (made before the taping of the Season 7 finale of Two and a Half Men earlier this month, Sheen noted that “all of the numbers reported in the press are false.” He was most recently at about $900,000 per episode, his backend included. WBTV and a rep for Sheen declined comment.

With all the existing coin in his bank accounts, Sheen should quit and focus on improving his inner Spiritual self then maybe he’ll attain long-term personal Blessings w/ respect to his private life.
Not THAT’S great comedy writing! yes, walk away from the show and find a peaceful way in the world – someplace away from the fun and thrill of gambling and hot women who make no demands on you other than you pay for your time with them from the loose hundreds in your change bowl. Peace be with you, Charlie Sheen!
MY MAN! CHARLIE, WILL NOT BE LEAVING TWO& A HALF MEN IF ,I HAVE MY WAY, I’M STILL HOPELESSLY! AND MADLY! IN LOVE! WITH HIM, I DEVELOPED! A HUGE! AND MASSIVE! CRUSH! ON HIM IN PLATOON, HE KNOWS HE WILL ALWAYS! HAVE A MAJOR! FAN IN ME, THE PRODUCERS WILL COME UP WITH A WAY SO MY MAN! WILL STAY, OH YEAH! I LOVE! HOW HE IS A PERFECTIONIST, THAT’S COOL! AND OH YEAH! HE IS STILL DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS! TO ME!!!
Considering Two And A Half Men is probably Charlie’s last big hoorah I think he should continue the gamesmanship, get the best deal he can and ride it out until they kick him off the air.
Let’s be honest, Sheen is a hammy, over-the-top actor and that serves him well in Two And A Half Men – beyond that his future prospects are not likely to be all that rosy.
Forget Sheen. He’s a jerk who belongs in jail for numerous offenses against a multitude of women he’s a violent sociopath. They can easily continue the show without him just cast another actor in his place and play it for laughs use the old soap opera cliche, first new episode we see “Charlie” with his face wrapped in bandages it’s explained he was in a comical accident; the bandages come off and presto new actor playing Charlie Harper. If this is done with tongues firmly in cheeks it’ll be hilarious. Let Sheen leave if they cast the right new guy the ratings will be exactly the same if not better depending on who they get.
Extremely doubtful at best.
Say what you want about MY taste in television but this is my favorite scripted show airing. Yes, maybe I should “explore” more, but I don’t.
They can do their best with a replacement with some daytime-esque storyline as you suggested, but the dynamic between Cryer and Sheen will be extremely difficult to replace.
They need to just pay the guy. They’ll still cash in.
PS – No. This isn’t the masheen.
I love this idea! Maybe they will hire someone who can actually vary tone, pitch, cadence, etc. in his line delivery. I’m thinking Craig Ferguson. He would be brilliant.
I can’t decide who is more deserving of this year’s “Please Disappear Off the Face of the Earth Award:” Charlie Sheen or Conan O’Brien. It’s close.
My vote is for “John”; the clear winner.
Yea…him saying it’s not about money is pretty baseless if ANY negotiations are taking place. I see a lot of this as PR to try and force more money in his pocket. And why not? If they are willing to pay it to him, go for it.
Who I feel for the most is his co-star. Is he making anywhere near what Sheen is making? I doubt it, but you never hear about it.
I want Sheen to return. I want TAAHM to have the funniest season ever. This is the only show that makes me laugh. I don’t need to feel warm inside, or be moved, or to see the better side of me. I need to have some laughs in this depressing, lying world.
Sheen is being totally retarded and illogical right now. Does he really think that he is such a hot topic right now? I honestly don’t believe people are lining up at his front door trying to grab him for features or TV shows. 2.5 is his golden goose right now. Live this shit up while you still can and stop being a douche. No one else is going to pay you this kind of money for being a completely two-dimensional character.
–Blah
It speaks volumes about Hollywood that this guy is in demand and someone is willing to throw millions of dollars at him.
Interesting that the race seems to be on to keep Sheen. Yet the word in the ad community…you know, those folks who actually pony up the money to keep shows on the air to pay salaries…the ad community is talking about the fact the show is now toxic…none of the clients seem to think its a good buy to be associated with a guy so messed up. So, despite fans willing to watch, it needs to boil down to
who will buy?
There is plenty of ad revenue waiting for 2.5Men….
They average 17 million viewers over the last year….ratings like that attract many of products and services….
This show is a gold mine for advertisers…All Americans ar wraped thats why we love Charlie on this show…brings out the worst in us….for the best laughs ever….
The banter between Alan and Charlie – best on tv…..tv history…inthe making….
i too am a taahm fan i think the two work together great, sheen is good but he would not have that greatnes without charlie lets tell the truth
2.5 men is the funniest show I have ever watched. Its kinda sad how it mimics charlies life ( from the tabloids). Charlie would not be there if it wasn’t for the cast of the show. You have to give them credit where credit is due.
