EXCLUSIVE: Comedy writer-producer Michelle Nader is moving to Warner Bros. TV with a
two-year overall deal. Under the seven-figure pact, Nader will focus on developing new comedy projects eyed for the broadcast networks.
Nadar comes off a four-year stint at Universal Media Studios. Under back-to-back overall deals there, she created and executive produced the NBC comedy series Kath & Kim, based on the Australian format, and most recently served as executive producer/ showrunner on the upcoming NBC comedy 100 Questions.
Nader, who began her career as a staff writer on NBC’s Caroline in the City, served as a co-executive producer on ABC’s Spin City and CBS’ The King of Queens. She is repped by ICM and attorney Ken Richman.
TV Editor Nellie Andreeva - tip her here.

I just fired my agent and lawyer.
Why, Stunned? Because you deserve a deal and Michelle Nader doesn’t?
You know what’s stunning to me, Stunned? The ease with which cowards like you are happy to spew cunty bile as long as you can do it anonymously.
Sign your name or shut the fuck up, you human zit.
But wait… didn’t you just ‘spew cunty bile’ as you so poetically phrased it, anonymously as ‘Michelle’s friend’?
that “cunty bile” comment gives me the heeby geebies! … ick!!! anyway… I love Michelle and I’ve worked with her more than I’d care to mention … SHE IS A TOTAL PRO … AND HILARIOUS = )! XO
RIGHT ON, “MICHELLE’S FRIEND”! YOU SHOWED “STUNNED” HOW TO PROPERLY POST ANONYMOUSLY!
“Sign your name or shut the fuck up, you human zit.
Comment by Michelle’s Friend”
Ah, the irony…
sweetheart, you do realize you didn’t sign your name either, right?
I wouldn’t have said a word if Stunned had posted as Might Have to Work With Michelle Nader Someday. Work it out in your heads, people.
ooooooh! someone’s gonna get it!!!! …… quick call your lawyer and agent back and tell them you were only kidding!!! QUICK!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have a good recipe for a green bean salad?
Very cool that a fellow St. Maria Goretti alum class of 82′ has become rich & famous. CONGRATULATIONS!
Hi Anonymous,
First and foremost, shouldn’t you be directing all your energy to defeating Scientology?
Second …. hmmmm … sounds like the following describes your tiny place in the world.
1) You may be angry and don’t have a constructive way of expressing it.
2) You may be having an isolated bad day…or a bad life.
3) You may have intimidated others, who let the snideness go unchecked.
4) You may be trying to be funny, but it’s crossing the line.
5) You may be trying to be insulting … without taking responsibility for it.
6)You may simply be a bad apple.
You should fire your agent and lawyer … sad little bad apple = )
pooky the powerful = )
xo
Stunned has the most awful nappy rash, he wont sit, he is walking with his little legs open and he is just screaming on and off, I know his little butt is sore because he keeps patting it and he wont let me change his nappy, he screams his little head off … poor little Stunned
I just called my agent too … but she didn’t understand!!!!
are u stunned cause when you fired them they didn’t care?
Michelle is one of the funniest “cool girls” is the business. I’m not surprised Warner wants to pal up.
Go Nader
Good for Michelle. She deserves this deal…she’s talented, funny and
a down-to-earth no bullshit kinda gal. “Kath and Kim” might not have been everyone’s cup of tea but I thought it was hilarious. Looking forward to seeing what she comes up with at Warner Bros. They are lucky to have her under their wing!
Hey, she deserves it
“Hey, she deserves it”? You have to be kidding. What has she done?
More than you!
She deserves this. And she still has her soul. Rock on Michelle.
Jerry – Check her resume, she’s done a lot. Why do you have to be so bitter? Just be supportive you dick.
Don’t call me a dick you dick. Why should I be supportive, I don’t even know her. Based on what I see on TV all writers are overpaid.
Listen Jerry, there’s some really great stuff on TV. And without writers those shows wouldn’t be nearly as good. It would just be actors standing around silently. If you ask me, actors are the ones who are overpaid.
Anonymouse (who must work for Disney)… I’m an actor and believe me, I am not overpaid. I just lost my health insurance and I have an impacted molar I can’t afford to get fixed. The pain is brutal.
Have you talked to a dentist about fixing your molar and letting you pay over time? In this climate of Obama’s health care package, here in liberal Hollywood, there must be a doctor who’d do it.
I actually do have an appointment with a dentist, I’m getting money from my parents. Like they weren’t pissed off enough that I became an actor.
I have a few show ideas if she is interested!
Don’t worry about your parents. When I came out to my parents my father almost stroked out. But that’s his problem, I’m comfortable with who I am.
Good for you Anonymouse. It is your father’s problem, not yours. The fact is he should be supportive of you whether you’re straight, gay, or anything in between.
Yes Jerry, my dad should support me. And we are all in this big crazy show biz family together, so you should support Michelle Nader and her terriffic new deal.
Everyone gets their share, quit your bitching and start writing. Oh, and be funny and then get your stuff in the hands of the right people. And if Hollywood chews you up and spits you out, get over it and write a book. Getting involved in anything other than being happy for someone else’s good fortune is a waste of time. I love how people sit around post-Oscar Monday criticizing people for achievements they will never have. Especially with that attitude. Shit doesn’t last long in Hollywood… except shit that makes a lot of money.
Wow. When you’re right, you’re right. You’ve shown me the light Anonymouse. I now officially support Michelle and her new deal.
Ah, what the heck. Good job Michelle.
Thank you.
Alright Michelle!!! My favorite combo of funny, sexy, realness … love you!!! Congrats!!!!!!
THUMBS UP!!! MICHELLE ROCKS! FREAKING HOT AND HILARIOUS! ROCK ON MICHELLE!
Nader is a brilliant soul and hysterically funny. Warner Bros. just bought themselves a diamond mine.
Good deal for Michelle, great deal for the studio.
I don’t know Michelle. Really never met her, or heard of her. But Kath and Kim was hilarious and King Of Queens was also one of the funniest comedy 1/2 hours around. Totally underrated show. Never up for an Emmy. Honestly without something FUNNY ON TV what do we have? So good for her. I’m hoping she creates something we all could laugh with. TV needs it. And NO I don’t need a writing job. I am a very successful author.
Michelle is adorable and very talented.
Good for her.
So she’s been a writer on average sitcoms and show-runner on a total piece of crap? Talk about failing upward.
Michelle’s Friend, good for you! I agree with what you’ve said. Bunch of fucking cowards on this board. Good for Michelle.
Great news for a talented lady! Smart deal for WBTV – Michelle is the real deal.
