EXCLUSIVE: Former Warner Bros. TV and ABC drama executive Heather Kadin is in talks to become president of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci’s recently launched TV production company. Kurtzman and Orci started a TV production outfit under their first TV studio deal, a three-year overall pact with 20th Century Fox TV that kicked in March 1. The duo, which started off in TV before hitting it big in features with The Legend of Zoro, Mission Impossible III, Transformers and Star Trek, recently made a return to the small screen with the Fox series Fringe
and the CBS Hawaii Five-0 pilot this season.
Kadin recently left Warner Bros. TV where she served as vp drama development and worked with Kurtzman and Orci on the WBTV-produced Fringe, which Kurtzman and Orci co-created with J.J. Abrams. Kadin, Kurtzman and Orci first worked together at ABC, where as a drama executive, Kadin was involved in Abrams’ spy series “Alias,” on which Kurtzman and Orci were writer-producers since the first episode.
As president of television, Kadin would join Bobby Cohen, president of Kurtzman and Orci’s DreamWorks-based film production company.

Congrats to Heather. She is so smart, so rock steady and absolutely ready for this jump. She trained under Rovner so she’s learned from the best! Great news for a great person and exec.
Great exec. She’s been involved with many high profile projects not even mentioned in your article. They’d be lucky to have her.
I’m particularly impressed by whoever wrote the headline for this article, because it deftly alludes to the little-known fact that, much like Sandy Duncan, Heather has a glass eye. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but it’s legit.
Okay, you can tell. It’s totally her left one.
Go Heather! Knock em dead!!!!
Never thought she was that good and I know she isn’t well liked.
i agree
so proud of my niece, she is such a hard working ,innovative young woman. What a great opportunity. They are lucky to have her!
Wasn’t it Heather who had the vision to choose a number of winning projects for TV such as Desperate Housewives? She apparently has a knack for seeing the big picture. Go Heather!
Congratulations to a wonderful daughter. We are so proud of her. She is truly special and very innovative.
Mom and Dad
I have known her since she was very little. I always knew she was special. She is smart, driven, beautiful but most of all a nice person. We wish you all the best.

not such a nice woman
Never liked her – kind of a stab you in the back or whine until to get what you want sort of gal.
Too bad she steps on so many people to get to the top or bottom – depending on you look at it.
