• everybody has gotten on the bergstein hatewagon. it’s easy and most people are followers. The man ran into some financial trouble just like half of america. I know from friends that are very close to him that he is generous to a fault, charitable, and the best dad a son can have. Give the guy a break.criticizing is easy, understanding takes some work.

  • You’re wrong, and I know first-hand (and therefore I’m not a “follower”). Facts: Bergstein is a pathological thief, liar, and crook. These are not points that cannot be argued. He has stolen huge sums of money from many people, hidden that money, lied about it numerous times in writing, and has broken too many contracts to count. I could go on but the point is made. Check the court records, the contracts and all else in the public domain.
    His deceit and dishonesty existed long before the financial crisis in the country, so that is a ridiculous argument.
    Saying that he is “the best dad a son can have” is a bit like saying “Hitler was a good boyfriend to Eva Braun.” Even if it’s true (which it’s not), who cares?

  Too bad these qualities don’t apply to his business dealings. Bergstein isn’t a victim of “financial troubles,” he created most of them. His track record starts way before the current meltdown.
