Jennifer Connelly has the offer to join Vince Vaughn, Kevin James and Winona Ryder in the untitled Universal Pictures comedy that Ron Howard will direct. His Imagine Entertainment partner Brian Grazer is producing with Vaughn. If she makes a deal for the project known around town as Cheaters, Connelly will play the partner of Vaughn’s character, who is torn on whether to tell his best pal (James) that his wife (Ryder) is cheating on him. Allan Loeb wrote the script. Connelly worked the Imagine partners on A Beautiful Mind, and most recently starred in the Dustin Lance Black-directed indie playing the title role in What’s Wrong With Virginia?

God I hope she takes the role, because there is no other cast member in that hangdog three we wanna see cheating!
About time she did a comedy. Good for her.
Great choice since JC is so damn funny. Huh.
She can’t act. She’s like a dead moose (mouse).
Jennifer, you are stunningly beautiful and a brilliant dramatic actress, but you gotta loosen up if the comedy thing is gonna work out.
Still want to see her as Catwoman for Nolan (via Adam Hughes visuals).
Great news. Loved her in Career Opportunities.
In a more than 20 year acting career has she ever done one thing that makes anyone think she is funny?
I had such high hopes (expectations?) I dunno, anyway, about Jennifer Connelly, prbobably because of her stunning looks, but man she’s one note. Yeah, like a dead moose.
The only time Winona Ryder has ever been funny was when she was busted for shoplifting at Saks in Beverly Hills. Especially the fact that she brought her own scissors from home to snip those pesky little security tags one finds attached to all the high end ticket items.
Nevermind the very esteemed Jennifer Connelly to play wife to Vaughn. What say they hire Gwyneth Paltrow to really spice up the chemistry with her FRENEMY Winona Ryder….now, that would be some funny comedy.
Has Ron Howard ever worked with any black actors? His movies are beginning to feel like Woody Allen’s in that respect.
JC was funny in Little Children. And didn’t Winona famously pooh-pooh the studio’s consideration of Jennifer Connelly in the role of Veronica in Heathers?
BTW, Winona was great in When Love Is Not Enough.
The Hot Spot
JC is sure something to look at… but her movies aren’t.
If you wanna know if a film is gonna be bad, a good indicator is if Jennifer’s in it.
It’s not her fault they’re bad… they just are.
Parker Posey is funny. Sarah Silverman is funny. Laura Kightlinger is funny.
Surprised Jennifer would stoop to Winona after having worked with Winslet. Seriously.
hey, she was funny in the hulk. okay, so it wasn’t a comedy, but still.
Trust me, Jennifer is so much more than only a very beautiful dramatic actress and an Academy Award (Oscar) winner. Given the proper director and supporting cast, she will be able to easily display her often-hilarious comedic talents. She is a complete actress, and an even more complete WOMAN. These younger folks most likely bash her sometimes because she lives a more regular life- you will not dig up any dirt on her.
This stunning and incredibly intelligent woman choses her roles quite carefully, does most of her best work in independent films that the younger crowd overlooks. Please look at and then judge her by exploring some of her smaller films, and I also thought she was quite strong as a reporter in “Blood Diamond.” Trust me, she has at least one, and possibly more, Oscar-worthy performances within her in the not-to-distant future.
Some of the romantic comedies she has been in lately, and ensemble projects haven’t gone that well, but these types of films have been largely overdone and have been mostly played out… I most definitely believe that she is among the top-5 dramatic actresses in her generation, and she is infinitely multi-talented. J.C., sweetheart, just stick to your principles and I know that you are unconcerned about why the younger generation doesn’t get you.
Honey, you are also SMOKIN HOTT!!! You exude total CLASS, and always handle yourself with old-fashioned integrity rock-solid judgement.
