Numbers executive producer Don McGill has inked a new 2-year overall deal with CBS TV
Studios. As part of the 7-figure pact, he will join the studio’s veteran crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as executive producer and No.2 to executive producer/showrunner Carol Mendelsohn. McGill replaces Naren Shankar, who had served as exec producer/co-showrunner on CSI alongside Mendelsohn for the past 5 years until recently exiting to focus on development under his overall deal with CBS Studios.
McGill has been at CBS and CBS Studios his entire writing career. He started off as a writer on JAG before co-creating with Don Bellisario the JAG spinoff NCIS. McGill most recently served as executive producer on Numbers, which recently wrapped its six-season run. He is repped by WME and attorney Bob Myman.

I did Showrunner Training Program with him; Don’s a great guy; CSi’s lucky to have him; don’t forget, he co-created NCIS with Bellisarrio.
Awesomeness. CSI needs a kick in its ass to get creatively back on track. I miss the old episodes with two investigations…
Now we know who to blame for NCIS…
Super guy! Really talented! A true mensch! Deserves all the success he gets! Wait…don’t actually know him. Thinking of someone else. Oh, nevermind.
