• Okay – I’m a Muslim and that Sayid one is HILARIOUS!!!

  Major inside joke on that one – “Sayid” is a term amongst Shia Muslims, which means that, if you’re a Sayid, you are directly related to Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

  In addition, Shia Muslims are the ones who, sometimes, ‘torture’ themselves once a year in the commemoration of the massacres against the Prophet’s family in Karbala (and by “torture,” it is usually lightly beating oneself, but some take it to high extremes).

  Nonetheless, I personally think the use of “Sayid” and “torture” is hilarious – nothing offensive.
