• I love Max & Dave, but this pilot was terrible. Watching Shatner do comedy was like watching cardboard deliver funny lines.

  • Were we at the same taping? The audience went mad crazy for Shat. In between takes he admitted the format was new for him but with each take he became more and more brilliant. It was amazing watching such a seasoned pro adapt to 4 camera the way he did. I’ve been to a bleep load of pilot tapings and I’ve never seen an audience go so bleep-bag crazy for a character as they did for his. He’s going to either get nominated or be the center of the CBS comedy block or both.

  Are you freaking high? this is quite possibly the dumbest thing i’ve ever read on this site. the networks picked up 3 new multicamera pilots (so far). Guess who directed ALL THREE of them? I don’t even need to say his name because anybody whos anybody in this business already knows. And they also know the roster of hit shows he has helmed through the years (and decades).

• Shatner can’t do comedy? Uh..what about the six straight years of Emmy nominations (and two wins) for the hilarious — and moving — Denny Crane (on Boston Legal and the Practice) and his Emmy nomination for playing the Big Giant Head on Third Rock from the Sun. The man is comedy gold.

  • I saw the original pilot and run thru on S— my day says. CBS has taken an original idea and turned it into a standard sitcom. It wasn’t P C, but it starting to be that. Cutting edge is going away, except the standard gay theme jokes. It needs a remake and return to the hard edge comedy it was.
