The upcoming 12th season of Big Brother will premiere July 8 and will once again be hosted by Julie Chen and broadcast three times a week. There is one small difference: this year, the three editions will run Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 8 PM. The Wednesday show represents a shift from Tuesdays 9 PM where it was slated last summer. Flashpoint returns for a third season on Friday, June 4, at 9 PM and will relocate to Fridays 10 PM on July 16. Another Canadian-produced procedural, The Bridge, will debut on Saturday, July 10, at 8 PM.

what’s up with CBS’s midseason comedies? hitched? anything?
Ah, Big Brother. Okay, I can’t help it – watching a group of mildly intelligent egotists try to live without the Internet or TV is a hoot.
Maybe I should move to Canada. Cheap-ass CBS.
Big brother has 25 revenue streams. It’s a great watch. Why on earth are they still awarding $6 to the winner after 27 seasons. Maybe this year they award a million dollars this time. Come on cheap network I mean CBS. Play with the big boys for once.
Yeah what’s up w CBS mid season comedies? Any updates?
The success of NCIS:LA and the dumping of the comedies on Wed, made this an easy move for BB.
The Canadians have several really good series. The Tudors, on Showtime, is also a Canadian production.
There’s a hilarious animated show that runs on CITY in Toronto, with Kevin Nealon as a dentist. Someone should pick it up down here.
The Bridge is one of helluva an outstanding show. I couldn’t believe it was Canadian ( I say that as Canadian who has American citizenship and as a former Hollywood agent). It’s as good as The Sopranos Evocative.Riveting.Dramatic. Suspenseful.Gripping stories. Talented Cast. Aaron Douglas performance as Frank Leo is as solid, intense and riveting & sexy as James Gandolfini performance was when he played Tony Soprano. The complex dynamics between the characters are well developed, the narrative includes multiple levels of corruption, seduction, politics, and the moral / ethical dilemmas among big city cops. Finally, an intelligent show that brings action, suspense, and drama together through captivating sequentially-related episodes, without numbing the brain.
The season finale is killer!
