This summer’s most anticipated film, Christopher Nolan’s Inception, is still unfinished with a July 16th release date. But I’ve learned it screened for the cast and their reps on Monday. And even the most cynical people who usually hate everything were knocked out. “It was beautiful.” Lots of gushing about the ”incredible work” by Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, and Ellen Page.

OMG, I just got extra excited
So will there be an apology from that crank Peter Bart who scolded him for daring to want to keep the plot a secret??
Most anticipated by whom?
Seriously Richard? I think it’s pretty much the most anticipated film by anyone who knows about it. Wait until the third trailer drops this weekend with IM2 and the marketing kicks into high-gear in the next two months, then it will be THE most-anticipated by EVERYONE. You’ll see…It’s all part of the plan…
Me.
It’s definitely most anticipated by ME…
Looks absolutely boring. A snore fest, and I love Nolan’s Batman 1, not so much Bat 2, Momento & Following are disturbing. Prestige is great. Leo is not a great actor, Ellen Page is awful in the clip I saw.
I’d rather have Nolan work with Bale, Jackman & Caine. They are proven great actors that have an incredible tension and acting ability with each other.
I guess your one of “the most cynical people who usually hate everything” the article is talking about. advice: quit watching movies.
I didn’t like Dark Knight either! And I really enjoyed Batman Begins.
That’s because you like formulaic, half-baked movies and not unconventional art.
Go. Away.
You say DiCaprio is a BAD ACTOR? Do you even know what acting is?
and me.
anyone bashing chris nolan (a rare type of gentleman and talent in Hollywood these days) needs to get a life.
Let’s see here… DiCaprio, Cotilard, Watsnbe, Caine, Page and, who am I missing… Oh yeah! That guy Chris Nolan who knocks everything way out of the ballpark and somehow managed to get an original spec script made into a WB tentpole release. If all THAT doesn’t wave your flag, then I’m sure you’re someone who loves Transformers.
I know someone at WB who was at a screening about a week or so ago. They raved and said it was incredible. The rumblings are beginning.
I know several people at WB and most of them are given to hyperbole, are unimaginative, and only know the last 20 years of cinema save a handful of notable classics. Chris Nolan is only rare in that he is one of the luckiest people out there for being one of the most insubstantial directors. Better first-time directors have had a more difficult time than he has landing gigs. And let’s face it… his B.O. tallies were low till he landed the Batman gig… even his opening for Begins was modest to say the least. If you think Nolan is so rare, you need to go to the movies more often.
Greta scoop,Nikki! Big thanks as I`m dying to see this movie. can`t come soon enough!
Hopefully, this will be both a boxoffice smash and the sci fi movie that will finally win Best Picture.
and me!
It screened for the cast and their reps and you call them the most “cynical people who hate everything”? The CAST of INCEPTION and their REPS are cynical and hate everything? I am excited to see Inception too but I’m afraid the feedback is not the rave I expect from from the cast and other insiders. It almost sounds too polite.
No love for Joseph Gordon Levitt? He’s one of the finest actors out there but he never gets any appreciation. I suppose that he just wasn’t mentioned because maybe he’s not that good in the film, but i find that hard to believe.
know someone who saw on mon. he had doubts b4 hand, but then went as far to say (after seeing it) it was “Matrix level”.
That’s all i needed to hear!
Nolan = never lost yet!
Trailer’s out there.
Matrix level? Judging from this, no. Above it.
This will be a beast.
700 global.
Golden boys for Leo, Chris, maybe Marion and Joseph.
I applaud you, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Yeah well, keep your pantyhose on, the confirminator hasn’t seen it yet. Until then, that’s that.
