UPDATE: FX has decided not to proceed with another comedy project, Sweat Shop, which recently filmed a pilot.
PREVIOUS: FX has greenlighted to pilot Wilfred, a live-action comedy based on the popular Australian series of the same name. The project, which had been on the hot list at the cable network, was adapted by David Zuckerman (Family Guy). Jason Gann, who co-created and starred in the Australian series, has signed to star in the pilot. “Wilfred is about a guy, the girl next door, and mixed-breed dog, Wilfred, who is part Labrador retriever and part Russell Crowe on a bender,” is how Zuckerman described the project he is executive producing with Rich Frank, Paul Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz of Prospect Park, and Joe Connor and Ken Conner of Renegade, producers of the Australian series. Gann will serve as co-executive producer. “We really loved David’s take on Wilfred and believe it’s on target with our growing comedy brand,” FX’s EVP original programming Nick Grad said. FX has been ramping up its comedy series slate with recent entries The League, Archer and Louie joining veteran It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Awesome. FX is so good at picking shows (not counting a few blips like Testes)
What’s the latest on sweatshop?
Where will this shoot?
Love FX, but any word on DAMAGES?
Read Sweatshop. Loved it. Funnier than the steaming pile of shit the traditional networks are peddling.

Testees was a raucous ribald and original comedy that is still missed.
