• Why not just let the Lion get around to paying the debt when it’s good and ready? These constant extensions are ridiculous.

• In response to Laughable’s comment: MGM wants their to be a new James Bond film because it is MGM’s biggest money-maker. The movies are no longer going to be distributed by SONY. The next James Bond film is on hold until MGM decides if they can sell itself to another studio in a merger. EON Productions can not continue on with pre-production of Bond 23 until this MGM mess is solved. They must wait for a greenlight from the new owner whomever that might be.
  As this point, MGM just keeps getting more extensions to buy them more time.
  They need like $6 million to start with from someone and hopefully a plan where they can make 4 to 10 movies a year.
  MGM wants to release “Red Dawn” this year, but now they are saying they don’t have the money to release it. They can’t even afford to make a trailer.
  It’s very frustrating not to have a James Bond movie to release next year. Music Composer, David Arnold thinks the wheels will get going in 2012.
  No one knows for sure. We are all sitting ducks. It’s a wait-and-see situation.
