Since Kindreds is getting a midseason slot, I wonder if this means Rex is Not Your Lawyer will get a Fall slot?
chuck, wow, ratings below 2.0 renewed? ratings will only go down next season. nbc now wants to compete with the cw, good luck
How could they renew Chuck? That show is just terrible!
You’ve obviously never seen Chuck then. This show has been solid for the past 3 years. They are willing to take risk on this show and know how to please the fans. Week after week we get great episodes, unlike most other shows in the same time slot or on TV in general. The only other show that is as solid week to week would be Grey’s IMO.
Hey – Chuck is on of the best shows on TV – it combines an action/adventure with a great deal of comedy. I vote for it to go in another time slot and let people figure out how good it is!
Thanks, NBC!
From a very loyal Chuck fan!
you’re mom was terrible…..but chuck rocks!!!!
great attempt at sarcasm buddy! this is great news!
You can go fuck yourself. chuck is one of the best shows on TV.
Chuck is one of the few shows I’ll record and watch. Great decision by NBC!
yeah go jump off a cliff
Chuck is one of the best shows . Go back to watching your realty tv shows.
What about the status of the other dramas that NBC is considering, but has yet to pick up? Are they alive or dead?
Is NBC done with their new series orders?
Kindreds being used as a replacement series is definitely a surprise.
yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im with you on that one
Wahoooo!!!! Chuck is the best show on tv
Woohoo! Chuck is the only show on network TV worth making a date for! Way to not be stupid for once, NBC!
Great news about Chuck, it’s the only show my family watches together every week on NBC.
Chuck’s ratings may not have been great the latter half of its season, but man is it a good show and, creatively speaking, deserves to stay on the air. It held its own in the key demos against Monday night programming where I don’t think many other current NBC offerings could have. I guess I’m thankful NBC’s slate did so poorly this year that even Chuck’s 2.0s looked like a godsend for them. Hopefully it picks up some steam next season – I’ll definitely be watching.
Chuck is a great fun show that would be perfect for USA. All of this ratings talk about Chuck and people fail to look at the real reason behind the bad ratings: the Monday night slot. If NBC moves Chuck at 10 pm, it would do much better because of the lead in from JJ Abrams Undercovers which will probably get big ratings because everyone who has seen the Undercovers pilot pretty much loved it.
Ratings below 2.0 (recently anyway) but it’s NBC’s highest-rated Monday show. So in a way it makes sense.
How can anyone (who isn’t totally emotionally detached not like chuck)?
Yay 4 renewal!!!!
Chuck is Awesome!!! Great cast + great writing= great show and a 4th season! Action-thriller, comedy, romance and great tunes all rolled up into one nice package…
Chucksters rejoice!
Great news on the Chuck front! The Show is fantastic and has really outdone itself creatively this season. Three cheers for Chuck!
Never have time for chuck but the first two seasons I saw on dvd were good. I am stoked for Kindreds and wished it was coming this fall. Can’t wait. This was my most anticipated show.
I honestly don’t know anyone who has watched a single episode of Chuck ever. Somebody must be though.
1, 2, 3, ……just ticking off people I know who watch Chuck….4, 5, 6…… while I check my spelling would you please advise the co-ordinates of the rock you live under.
Regards, Special Agent Charles Carmichael.
Good! Chuck is one of the few NBC one-hour shows I like. Nothing can touch the Peacock’s Thursday night comedy lineup… though 30 Rock is the weakest of that quartet…
go chuck!!!
YAY CHUCK IS BACK! That show is amazing!
Love the show but it should have been wrapped up 2 weeks ago. Chuck gets girl, mr awesome to Africa, and Anna gets her man back!
Yes on Chuck!!!
Chuck as opposed to what? What else would do as well at 8 PM Mondays?
The benefits of Chuck are: 1. Its not absolutely repellent to men, so you can pair it with another show aimed at least in not repelling men. 2. You know its parameters, somewhere around 2.3 is the season average. 3. With so many NEW shows on NBC’s schedule, you’ll need something tried and true but not over exposed or super expensive.
For TV, the show is reasonably well written, often funny, the only action-comedy I’ve seen in a long time.
Smallville on WB got 8 plus million viewers in its prime. It’s now drawing 2-3 million on Fridays. So what? ALL of TV has fewer watchers, as the population* ages, and boys have been conditioned for the last 10 years that TV is a female-gay ghetto.
*There are younger viewers, but they watch Univision or Telemundo.
There’s probably opportunity for NBC to rebrand itself at least as not guy repellent (like ABC and CW excluding Smallville and Supernatural are). But right now, there just aren’t that many viewers out there to be had. Seeing as how execs, producers, advertisers, and writers all did their best to drive off male viewers.
Squeeee! The best news of the week!
Chuck Me!! I am so happy that Chuck will be back for another season. The last few episodes have been – well Awesome! Now that Ellie has been recruited by The Ring and thinks she is working for the CIA I expect great things next season. I agree that a change in schedule might help raise viewership. But at least we have another season to recruit new viewers!
Sarah’s coming back….I can breath again.
