Actress Lynn Redgrave died last night after a seven-year battle with breast
cancer. She was 67. Redgrave, member of the famous acting dynasty, burst into the scene in the 1966 with Georgy Girl, which earned her one of two Oscar nominations. The other one came 32 years later for Gods And Monsters. Redgrave ended her classy career on television, appearing on Desperate Housewives, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Ugly Betty. Redgrave’s death comes a year after her niece Natasha Richardson died after a skiing accident and a month after the death of her older brother, Corin Redgrave.

Lynn was kind, graceful, generous, and strong as an oak. She will be missed.
C’mon Jimmy Kimmel! Please be next!
It seems only the good ones die young.
That is incredibly sad news. What an elegant, classy actress. A big loss for us all.
RIP Lynn, you were one of a kind.

Like many people, when I first heard about Lynn Redgrave’s passing at age 67, I immediately thought about her older sister Vanessa, who has now lost her daughter (Natasha Richardson), brother (Corin Redgrave), and sister in the space of 14 months.
My thoughts and prayers are with Vanessa and family at this sensitive time…may God provide healing and comfort!
Lynn was a charming, witty, and fascinating person. And a damn good actor. A very classy woman.
RIP, Lynn Redgrave.
