EXCLUSIVE: WME has signed Justin Long, the actor who was in play since leaving UTA last week.
Long continues to be managed by Principato-Young. He’ll next be seen onscreen starring with Drew Barrymore in the Warner Bros/New Line pic Going the Distance, and he just wrapped the Robert Redford-directed The Conspirator with Robin Wright, James McAvoy and Evan Rachel Wood. Long is just ending his run in the Mac computer commercials.

This a great sign for WME. A young, talented actor who has been underutilized and underrepresented is exactly what an agency needs (and exactly what benefits an actor). CAA was dying to get him. Makes total sense for him, WME’s comedy expertise is exactly what Justin needs. Big things will come from this.
You’re not an outsider, you’re an insider who works at WME. Nice try.
you’re being sarcastic, right?
I love him.
His scene in Zack and Miri Make A Porno is probably the single funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
I’m quite surprised, I figured Schachter/Schweitzer would be all over this one!!!
Those guys aren’t all over anything!
Justin is a good actor and a cool guy. His agents at UTA were doing a great job for him! If it aint broke, why fix it? He has good movies coming out. Shouldn’t he be loyal to the people that got him there. Just saying
Going the Distance. Looking forward to it. But can someone tell Geoff LaTullip to shut his big fat mouth already? He yammers on and on about A-list actors and directors and writers, and how they suck. Dude, you wrote a generic romcom and talk smack about people way above your pay grade. You’re not much of a writer, and you only got in the WGA because you were a reader. You’re about to walk into a wall, so watch your step.
He was actually at WMA before UTA…
Actually, Long DOESN’T appear in Mac commercials anymore. Mac announced in the last week that they’re dropping the campaign featuring Long.
William Morris? Wow, that’s too bad. Have they announced “ACCEPTED 2″ yet?
That was the title of the internal memo the day Toni Howard’s successors were announced
what a bore.seems like he had someone buzzing in his ear. and a very famous girlfriend pushing him along. without that, eh. will anyone ever realize this guy is good for commercials and filth for movies.
why use this forum to slam Geoff? I have never heard him yammer about anything and he got into the WGA because he sold his screenplay to a WGA company and was employed as a writer by a number of studios. I guess i can answer my own question. Another jealous hater who cannot get work.
Not a bad sign at all. That new Drew Barrymore movie he is in with her looks great. Check out the trailer on youtube for “Going the Distance.”
caa wanted him so bad, i love ur reporting nd , truth is they did, he was talking w them, but he made the right move, anyway as a bystander, wme is way better suited for his talent . he is versatile, comedy, action as we have seen in both spectrums, besides the latter (wme) is the only agency that consistantly packages GOOD FUNNY comedy. in short, go to CAA if your are over 40 and past your prime, these next ten years will tell all, maybe those endeavor guys throw u a a bone…
-ps its just justin long, dont cry
J-long should have been a major star by now. Finally, he will get a chance to become that special type of actor.
LOVE HIM—so happy with the choice he made..and he is soo versatile that the move was a great one..I cant wait to see what happens now and how far he goes..MINUS drew barrymore…Cant celebs ever just date NON CELEBS? plus drew has been around and he is soo innocent and sweet..Please dont corrupt him….
thanks
