Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen will plead guilty and serve jail time over misdemeanor charges stemming from his Christmas Day arrest for alleged domestic violence, according to several sites, including People and TMZ. But the 30-day sentence, which is expected to be reduced to 15-17 days for good behavior, would not interrupt production of the upcoming season of CBS’ Men. Sheen is expected to begin serving time next week, while Men normally starts production in August and I hear that will be the case again this year. That will give Sheen, who closed a deal to return to Men only hours before CBS’ upfront presentation last month, plenty of time to resolve his legal troubles before returning to work. In a similar fashion, 24 star Kiefer Sutherland timed his jail time for DUI while his series was on hiatus in December 2007.

Don’t drop the soap Chuck!
TMZ has published photos of the place and quite frankly it’s better than most psych hospitals in the area. TV room (albeit plastic chairs), kitchen (WITH A MICROWAVE and more importantly stocked with what appears to be ample supplies of individual boxes of Frosted Flakes and Rice Krispies, for starters), weights, etc.-it actually is better than a lot of the area psych units and I’m pretty sure it’s better than the jails here. 17 days-big deal. Guessing the locked cells are plasticy mattresses and plasticy pillows, also standard for places like BHC Alhambra, which has some of the feel of this particular jail.
people that think being locked up is easy have never been locked up.
The headline of this piece alone is pathetic. Hasn’t WBTV put up with enough? They’ve made a boatload of money already. It’s humiliating. The guy is a strung out, wife beating, drug addicted loser who gets to hold them over a barrel.
Seems like a downhill slide from here on in.
Or has Chuck Lorre got them by the balls?
Is it really alleged if he’s being sentenced on the charges?
Let’s call it what it is: A retreat
Ha! I love this. Women don’t have any problem tuning into their fantasy bad boy, pleading guilty to domestic violence, as long as he hasn’t actually killed anyone.
Yes there is a double standard. For men as well as women. Joe Schnerdling, not the “hot” Bigshot Hollywood bad boy, does what Sheen does and ends up deservedly in the slammer for a couple of years. Women don’t fall all over themselves for Schnerdling.
But a big shot need no other quality than being a big shot (see: Roman Polanski) and women get all excited. I don’t see women’s groups, feminists, and the like protesting CBS, calling for “Men” to get canceled, or Sheen to be fired.
That’s what I don’t see. Where I come from, putting a knife to your wife’s throat on Christmas Day is pretty repulsive. But I guess the female audience sees it differently. Charlie Sheen being the big shot and therefore it’s all A-OK.
I think that Charlie has been beating on Whiskey. He can’t form a complete sentence that makes any sense, and talks like a beaten housewife that doesn’t know any better.
Ah, well, Charlie will serve two weeks, but thank the Lord it will have no impact on taping for “Two and a Half Men.”
Now America can sleep soundly again, and that crisis in the Middle East, the collapse of our economy, the wreckage in the Gulf of Mexico, the two wars and the belligerent, nonsensical shrieks of ignorant RWNJs who put so many in mind of Berlin in the late 30′s don’t seem to be quite the looming problems they once were.
Sheen’s jail time WON’T have an impact on the sitcom he’s starring in. Whew! We ducked that bullet!
This is one woman who can’t stand the show. I can’t imagine what anybody sees in it.
So,is the show still canceled?
It is a perfect tie-in. Remember that this year’s season finale of “Two and a Half Men” ended with Charlie’s character bent over a police car in handcuffs as he was arrested (for driving into the back of a police car while his license was suspended).
Betcha Chuck and Lee work a little reality into the script of next season’s premiere episode.
This is wonderful news. Sleepover party, anyone?
i really like two and a half men.i hate that its in its final season.so ill watch the reruns i have on d.v.d.
