• from what i hear he was not well liked and not a great agent. Has a problem with telling the truth and I never liked dealing with him. Not an impressive list even if some were dumb and decided to go with him.

• CAA already has scores of unemployed clients, but UTA could definitely use a boost in the talent department. Maybe he could lure Justin Long back.

• Makes sense to me: he, like all ambitious (but marginally clueless)MP talent agents probably thought he deserved to succeed Toni Howard. He was passed over in favor of who may have been the only two guys less qualified for the job, so he jumped ship.

  Regarding his clients, he’s got a difficult task ahead. Many of his “big names” have very dedicated TV reps still at ICM and regardless of what Chris’s new agency promises, they’d be idiots to leave Rollins and Jeline to follow him.

• I am not shocked that Chris wanted a change in his life. I will say, ICM does seem to be evolving for the better. They have hired well as of late. I too would agree with that Cameron Mitchell was not a very smart hire – he’s just a bad dude. ICM is clearly 4th and possibly 5th. The big issue is really that Chris was groomed within that agency. He was considered to be part of the “in crowd” and a young guy on the rise. If he’s jumping ship it speaks volumes. The management of ICM must start to value and simply pay attention to many agents who are overlooked or dismissed.

  Wishing Chris and ICM well. I imagine Chris will be at UTA by Monday.

• One of the most brilliant agents in the business as well as being a legitimately good guy. Scary to think of what he’d be able to do if he winds up at CAA.

• You’re right about Cameron Mitchell, he is a d-bag. On another note, Chris Hart is no big loss and he won’t set the agency world on fire with the one client he can take. I hear Paradigm is hiring. Besides, it seems like agencies are a thing of the past, with CAA cashing out and WME cash poor, I give that whole business model 5 years to keep afloat. Then it’s back to “Revenge of the Nerds” for Hollywood’s faux elite. Well, at least Scarlett Johannesen’s mom may get her job back.

• Just don’t end up at UTA. He’d be forced to join a mediocre group of self inflated poorly dressed agents that should have merged w/Paradigm yrs ago. Its a wonder Rebecca Ewing isn’t leading the charge.

• I met chris hart once at a party. He was a very elegant and charming guy. No Hollywood bullcrap just sincerity. From what I hear well liked as well. Congrats Hart! I wish you well.
