The CW today became the first broadcast network to announce premiere dates for its fall lineup. As usual, the CW will roll out the bulk of its schedule ahead of the traditional fall premiere week, starting on September 8 with the debut of new drama Hellcats.
On Wednesday, September 8, Cycle 15 of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL (8:00-9:00 p.m.) kicks-off the 2010-2011 season, followed by the series premiere of new drama HELLCATS (9:00-10:00 p.m.). HELLCATS is a drama about a young pre-law student (Aly Michalka) whose world is turned upside-down when she loses her scholarship and has to join the college’s competitive cheerleading squad. Ashley Tisdale also stars as a young woman who is totally committed to the cheerleading squad to realize her dreams.
On Thursday, September 9, the network’s #1 show, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (8:00-9:00 p.m.) returns for a second season and leads into new action-drama series NIKITA (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET). NIKITA stars Maggie Q in the title role as a spy and assassin for a top secret U.S. government agency, who rebels against the system that created her and will stop at nothing to bring their powerful operation to an end.
On Monday, September 13, viewers will get the best of both coasts when the third season premiere of 90210(8:00-9:00 p.m.) leads into the season four premiere of GOSSIP GIRL (9:00-10:00 p.m.).
On Tuesday, September 14, two fan favorites go back-to-back when season eight of ONE TREE HILL (8:00-9:00 p.m.) leads into the second season of LIFE UNEXPECTED (9:00-10:00 p.m.).
On Friday, September 24, SMALLVILLE (8:00-9:00 p.m.) kicks-off its tenth and final season, followed by the sixth season of SUPERNATURAL (9:00-10:00 p.m.).

I do not agree with Supernatural moving to Fridays. Supernatural and Vampire Diaries were a great combination. If you are afraid that no one is going to watch Nikita…then maybe no one will.
If you believe in a show enough, you don’t need to pair it up with another show to get people to watch.
Not happy with the move…but whatever!
What fools. Why announce your premiere dates this early, only to get stunted by any and every competitor. This network is driven by the stations and their needs. the stations want to know the premiere dates so they can sell them for a premium, yet all they do in the end is hurt themselves. foolish
Whatever happened to Plymouth Rock, the series by Rob Thomas that was going to be picked up the CW? I assume that’s cancelled now or something?
Look for the CW to have a big year this year. Hellcats and Nikita are going to be really good shows this fall and a nice change of pace from their routine “Gossip Girl/90210/One Tree” lineup.
Heidi, does it matter? If youre a fan of Supernatural chances are you’re gonna be home on a Friday night anyway.
Um…how rude! I love Supernatural and I am never home…haha, I just watch it on the internet. But on another note so glad Smallville is amost done with
I miss Fly Girls. Call me crazy, but that was some good trash reality tv. It was so bad it was so good. CW was stupid not to bring back that show. Didn’t it get comparable numbers and I’m sure it was hella cheaper than this new crap they are putting on.
How does this network still exist?
