Demi Moore just joined the cast of Margin Call, an indie drama that begins filming Monday. She’ll play the chief risk management officer at a firm. The film tracks the desperate maneuverings of eight people in a 24-hour period during the early stages of the Wall Street financial crisis. Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Simon Baker, Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley, and Stanley Tucci also star, with J.C. Chandor directing his script. It’s the first feature Quinto is producing with his Before The Door Pictures partners Neal Dodson and Corey Moosa. Michael Benaroya and Rob Barnum of Benaroya Pictures also produce with Joe Jenckes. Myriad Pictures has been selling foreign territories since Cannes.

Again…nice cast.
This sounds interesting. I’d love to read the script. An adult movie for once. Are we sure there aren’t any aliens or people with superpowers in this…?
Good for Demi, but I cannot think of a worse plot for a movie. Hope it works out, but I won’t be watching.
Not into Moore but loving this cast and love these type films something for adults with brains for a change. Will be there
nice cast
Good cast. Sort of refreshing. Hopefully this film will offer layered, complex, adult performances – an oasis in a dead cinema sea of dead-eyed, 20 year old consumerist vampires with telekinesis and eating disorders.
Have read the script, rest assured: MARGIN CALL is smart, complex, and extraordinarily timely; the story is an actor’s paradise (as demonstrated by the people floating into the cast), and the potential for mainstream appeal is absolutely “there”.
I’m not only proud of the boys at “Before the Door” for their stalwart abilities in getting this aloft, but excited to see something other than a mediocre 3-D remake being re-imagined as a sequel to a sequel of a TV sitcom from the 70′s.
Yes, Virginia, these chaps at “Before the Door” are *actual* artists and filmmakers, with solid stories to tell.
I suggest the remainder of Hollywood take note.
Nice cast- I haven’t seen Demi do anything for awile. I will be glad to see her back on the big screen
Insane cast. Script must be good – cause those actors don’t need to work on crap. Well done for Zack Quinto and his new company. Off to a good start.
Doesn’t Demi begin filming L.O.L. in early July? Can they wrap this indie flick in two weeks?
It’s a three week shoot that ends 7/11 so I’ve read.
This is a film I am looking forward to seeing on many levels. The strong cast and timely concept make this a movie I’m going to try to see on its release day.
I rarely do that. Best of luck to the cast and crew. Knock it out of the park!
