FlashForward co-executive producer Lisa Zwerling has inked an overall deal with Universal Media Studios. Under the two-year pact, she will develop new projects for the studio while also working on existing series. She has already joined the high-profile new NBC/UMS drama series The Event as a consulting producer.
“Lisa is a breath of fresh air – so smart and passionate,” NBC/UMS’ EVP drama Laura Lancaster said. “We’re impressed with her creative range and feel so fortunate she’s decided to make UMS her home.”
Before her stint on ABC’s FlashForward, Zwerling spent six seasons on NBC’s ER, rising to co-executive producer.

I will NEVER understand how these writers from MASSIVE FAILURES keep getting huge deals. Makes absolutely no sense. I loved “FlashForward,” but it’s a huge failure. “Oh, you were involved with one of the biggest flops of the last year? Here’s seven figures!”
Lisa Zwerling is one of the loveliest, most talented writers in town. They are so lucky to have her!
Lisa is the best of the best! Great writer and wonderful person! GO LISA!
Lisa is amazing. I have always wanted to work with her but she is never available. Talented, smart and kind. An unusual combination.
She’s the real deal — one of the best peeps working today. Good for her, good for UMS.
