• This movie is going to be record breaking. I slept on the Twilight phenomenon and was shocked when New Moon made over $700 million dollars. I thought the first one was just a fluke. What other movie premier has people sleeping outside? None. I expect big numbers and have even bet my friends on it. Next week Eclipse will take over theaters and Imax.

• I’m thankful for Twilight. It gives Star Trek nerds something to look down on. It lets guys know that women are as flawed as they are, just differently flawed. And it provides a model for young guys wanting to figure out women: Alpha A-hole.

  Plus the massive success of the movie and books puts the lie to feminism. What do women and girls really want? Edward Cullen. Even in fantasy, female audiences and readers will trade independence for the uber-hot dominant guy every time.
