I’m not sure that this cashgrab retrofit 3Dification will work. Rogen as GH is bad enough. In 3D? Even worse. I wish them luck in pulling this off.
You say “Green Hornet – the movie” and I hear “Get Smart – the movie”.
Because “Pineapple Express” sucked.
January is the known dumping-ground for films that the studios don’t have faith in. This a big…and very open vote…of “no confidence” in the movie.
I was just about to say the same thing.
I was thinking the same thing as well. This does not bode well at all.
This movie NEVER made any sense. Nobody remembers this character. Nobody under 40 ever heard of him in the first place. Despite the casting, it is not a parody of superhero films. At least if it was a comedy, Seth Rogen would make sense, but as a straight up action film he is a colossal miscast. It’s like the flop of casting indie drama darling Gyllenhaal as action he-man. What is with all these casting boondoggles lately? Only the biggest of stars have ever been able to cross genres successfully. Most stars are only attractive to the public in their own genre. When did everyone in Hollywood forget this, and why the insane casting binge in the last few years? Comedy stars moving to serious stuff and flopping is not new. Indie drama darlings moving to mainstream stuff and flopping is not new. Why did anyone think it would be different now?
Funny, releasing in 2D AND 3D can only mean one thing…shitty 3D!!
Can’t think of any movie in recent history that I’ve wanted to see less. Who thought this was a good idea?
