ABC Family’s new series Pretty Little Liars got off to a solid start last night. It drew 2.5 million viewers, lower than the series debut of The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2.8 million) but matching the opener of Make It Or Break It. What’s more, Pretty Little Liars ranked as the highest-rated ABC Family series premiere ever in most younger demos, including adults 18-34 (837,000), viewers 12-34 (1.7 million) and teens (904,000).

The few who really watched this show, apart from the “official” ratings numbers, signifies this will be cancelled very early. No one’s even heard of the books, and the American market this fiction is set within surely hasn’t even heard of it for the obvious reasons. That there’s a reason for everything seems to hold a lot of truth.
Undoubtedly, the Americans will “nudge” the little overseas operated television/publishing industry that “produces” this to disappear and either take the production over or dissolve it and focus their efforts on the author and its origins and the productions overseas source.
This show shouldn’t be canceled! And I don’t think it will any soon, since the ratings are really good. I like the show, it has a good story. Teenagers should go crazy about it. I did!
I’m from Spain, and i’m watching it on internet!!! I love the show!!!! It’s really good!!! I hope it doesn’t get canceled!!!
