ABC’s The Bachelorette continued its impressive summer run with a 3.1 rating/9 share among adults 18-49 last night, up 15% from last week. But its lead-out, True Beauty (1.7/5) continues to move in the opposite direction, down 15% from last week for its lowest-rated telecast this summer. NBC’s Last Comic Standing (1.6/5) and Persons Unknown (0.9/3) too were down 11% and 10%, respectively, from last week to log their lowest-rated telecasts ever. Persons was transplanted from its original 10PM slot to 8PM this week, while Last Comic at 9PM was extended to two hours. Fox held steady with Lie to Me (1.9/6, up 6%) and The Good Guys (1.2/3, even with last week), while CBS aired an all-repeat lineup led by Two and Half Men (2.3/7) and The Big Bang Theory (2.3/6). ABC won the night in 18-49 (2.3/7), while CBS (7.5 million) edged ABC (7.4 million) in total viewers.

Meanwhile, airing against the World Cup, ESPN’s coverage of the first week of Wimbledon on ESPN2 and ESPN3.com was up 14% from last year. The June 23 telecast with part of the historic fifth set of the epic match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut was seen by average of 814,000 homes, the second largest Wimbledon audience ever on ESPN2.
