I don’t get this lame rivalry, and I think it’s not coming from people even remotely involved with the film business. People showing this kind of love for a movie, especially young people who have so many more choices for their entertainment, is a great thing.
Three new megastars? None of those three have opened any movies that weren’t Twilight movies. Anna Kendrick might end up being the biggest star out of that whole group.
You’re right, none of the Twilight 3 has opened a big film yet, but Rob Pattinson will do that soon. He’s filming Water for Elephants right now, and that should be a huge film, with a box office big enough to silence even the most dubious of critics. And although some people like to pretend that Remember Me was a bomb, it’s made $56 mil worldwide, and that ‘s not counting the DVD sales. It only cost $16 mil, so it’s more than turned a profit.
Kristen may get great reviews but she can’t sell tickets to save her life. The Runaways cost $10 mil and couldn’t even bring in $4. Massive bombs like that will kill her career before too long and she will be remembered as Bella forever. Taylor will to be lucky to end up on a TV series, maybe for Disney.
I watched the stream of the Eclipse Premier. I enjoyed it so much. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and I appreciated watching from my computer because unable to get there. Love all the books, movies and Rob, Kristen and Taylor. Thank you again.
I know Twilight is suppose to be garbage but the movie lover in me can’t help but be happy to see people so excited to attend the cinema/theater. Keep em coming in!

You’re joking, right? The vast majority of Potter fans I know are in their twenties. Of course, that’s still younger than all the 45-year-old “Twilight Moms” obsessing over a shirtless 18-year-old.
not all twilight moms are in the league of that age and let me just also say that not all twilight fans are only in their tweens, teens and 40′s. It has a variety of fans albeit most of them are female.

The reason Twilight is successful is because it does not only have devoted fans but savvy marketing from Summit. Facebook and Twitter is just one way of reaching out to fans.
Yes, i get the hate. Its because its crap to others. But Twilighters didnt stop you from liking what you like albeit its toy story, harry potter or star wars. Each fandom has its own dedicated fans and they will do anything to support that. Its just they are generating such a buzz that people are raising arms. I seriously doubt Twilight has more fans than Harry Potter, let alone Transformers and Toy Story. Not everyone has a Facebook page, and plus these Twilight fans make up a small, but vocal minority of the entire population.
Small minority? You may not like it, nor do you have to, but you are deluding yourself if you think this is some small group of fans. Millions of books sold, billions and box office records and more record breaking to come and you have the arrongance to brush it off. The premiere for the Eclipse will be at par with Toy Story, without 3D sales, and again, because you dont like it you think it is not significant. Get over yourself…. you dont have to see the movies, but dont try to disparrage the MILLIONS who will.

One interesting thing is it is a fan page, not something that was started by the publisher or studio though it is now the “official page.”
