He just left ICM last week. Paul Giamatti has signed with UTA in all areas. The Oscar nominee (Cinderella Man) and Emmy winner (John Adams) will next be seen in Win Win, and then Barney’s Version based on the best-selling novel. He was nominated for 45 separate awards between 2001 and 2008, and won 26 of them. Giamatti will continue to be managed by Perri Kipperman.

The fact that this guy has the career he does must give hope to every actor out there, because he sure isn’t competing with Brad Pitt in the looks department.
Great actor, but a huge dickhead.
Nobody will do a better job for him than bonnie bernstein. big mistake.
Huge dickhead? I worked with him on Win Win and he’s a real cool, down-to-earth guy. One hell of an actor too.
Giamatti’s father was President of Yale University and then Commissioner of Major League Baseball (MLB)…pretty impressive pedigree.
what the hell does that have to do with ANYTHING? pedigree? is he trying to get into boarding school?
Not a nice guy. Miserable to work with.
Congratulations Billy Lazarus. What a great sign.
I WILL NOT DRINK MERLOT!!
Definitely not miserable to work with! A very good guy – but very focused and shy.
Bonnie Bernstein worked so hard for this guy…even when Endeavor “encouraged” her to drop him because he wasn’t a moneymaker. She stood by him nonetheless…UTA? Seriously?
Perry Kipperman should be ashamed of herself….how does she contribute to his career?
maybe he should rethink her involvement!
Big mistake, Paul…you’ll see…hello loser comedies, goodbye academy award nominations!
I don’t understand this for the life of me. Does he honestly think another agent is going to do a better job for him? Bonnie is the best in the biz, and she is one of the few that puts her heart and soul into serving her clients.
So why did he leave? his talent sells itself.
Which agency booked him for SHOOT EM UP?
Solid actor.
Giamatti gets a lot of attention for a character actor. He peaked about 10 years ago with “Planet of the Apes” and “Big Fat Liar.” Then “Sideways” got him some critical acclaim along with “John Adams.” He had a decent career with Bernstein behind him, but I can tell you from experience, she priced every producer out with regard to working with him. She didn’t accept his less than mediocre value in the market, and that hurt him. That’s why he never got any good roles again. Dumb move also because Giamatti comes from old Connecticut wealth and doesn’t need the money. UTA is a mixed bag, but may be better for him in the long run.
He went to Choat that is a boarding school
He is an actors actor.
Paul Giamatti is one of the nicest if not the nicest actor in Hollywood. He is as down to earth and easy to work with as any actor I have ever dealt with. A true pro and great guy. If you say ant differnt, you don’t know him and have never worked with him.
