EXCLUSIVE: Curb Your Enthusiasm co-star Cheryl Hines has signed a talent holding deal with ABC. Once the norm, such pacts are rare these days, with maybe a handful across all broadcast networks a season. Hines already has a history at ABC. She starred in the network’s short-lived comedy series In the Motherhood last year and recently did an arc on Brothers & Sisters and co-starred in the network’s comedy pilot Wright vs. Wrong. Under her talent deal with ABC she might reprise her role in the new pilot for the Sony TV-produced project starring Debra Messing, which is in the works. Hines, who also is set to reprise her role as Larry David’s wife Cheryl on Curb’s upcoming eighth season, executive produces NBC’s new feel-good fall reality series School Pride. She is with WME and Principato Young.

Loved her on Curb. Not a fan of Motherhood and Wright v Wrong is horrible.
Does ABC think ANYONE in America knows who Cheryl Hines is? Much less are clamoring to see her starring in a series? “Curb” has about 1 million viewers (on a good night), which would put it at about #150 in the Nielsen rankings. Next thing you know they’ll call it “The Cheryl Hines Show.”

I find her unattractive and annoying. And I have done plenty lately, much more important than Hines and her silly little TV shows.
Hines may not have huge name recognition but she is talented. She directed Serious Moonlight after Adrienne Shelly died and did a good job.
Frank- she’s an actress, right? I think that means she’s fair game to “knock”…. therefore, a holding deal with this chick?? What a giant waste of money, boring.

Cheryl is truly outstanding in Curb. I tape the show and watch it over and over because she is so good. She makes my day. I never get enough of her.
