He joins previously cast Ulrich and Alfred Molina. Stoll will play Detective Rex Winters' (Ulrich) partner TJ Jaruszalski, a confident Hollywood native with a cynical view of the entertainment industry, a health nut with an active social life. So he plays “a confident Hollywood native with a cynical view of the entertainment industry” — Come on. We all know characterization on these LAW & ORDER shows (and indeed, most “prcedural” franchises) is bullshit. In the end, the actors are all servicing a dry, inflexible, Kabuki-like narrative structure and that’s exactly what viewers want. God help us all.
please, speak for yourself….
the above poster must not be famiar with Vincent D’onofrio’s character on L&O C.I.
Unfortunately, it’s this kind of crap that is helping to keep the networks afloat…

Really anglo…this spin-off. Is there one more white guy out there we can cast?
this guy? he was in Salt for like 3 minutes… he is a little hard to look at to be a lead on a show like this. i mean guys like Chris Noth and Skeet Ulrich have looks and chops. character actors should be in supporting roles in the background. besides, he is going to make Skeet look like a little person… very questionable choice.
What, they couldn’t find someone whiter and uglier?
I was rooting for Michael Ealy… but seeing as how LA is like 95% Latino (Obviously I’m exaggerating the number so shut up), I thought it’d be cool to cast a Latino opposite Skeet
Good for this guy! Think of everyone who passed on him. Now his manager and agency reap the rewards. $70/episode is the same amount of money whether it’s this guy or Skeet Ulrich.
Thank you.
I don’t know who this guy is and I have nothing against him but…
I agree with Teddy. There should have been a Latino opposite Ulrich. I was hoping for them to snatch up Freddy Rodriguez for this show after the death of “Chaos”on CBS. Now that show is back on so its unfortunate NBC waiting so long to cast that part, he would have been fantastic on this show.
stunning how opinionated people can be when they dont know what they are talking about. stop commenting on deadline.com and get a job. incredulous.
well i know corey. he has done a great job in everything he has been in ..and has broadway creds as well. delighted that years of hard work have paid off.
