There had been a lot of buzz surrounding a new character that will be introduced on Fox’s Glee next season, a new member of the New Directions glee club at the center of the show. After a several rounds of testing a large pool of newcomers, Chord Overstreet was just cast in the recurring role of Sam, a McKinley high school athlete who starts off as Finn (Cory Monteith)’s protégé but becomes his competition. Overstreet will make his debut in the season premiere episode of Glee on Sept. 21. Other notable guest stars on Glee‘s sophomore season include singer Charice, who comes to McKinley as an exchange student and becomes a formidable rival to one of the glee club’s stars; and John Stamos, who plays a dentist and potential love interest for Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays). Glee recently landed 19 Emmy nominations for its freshman season, more than any other seres. Overstreet has only a handful of credits, including a guest spot on iCarly.

lol that´s so cool….
A show that glorifies sexual deviancy?
No, that ain’t cool.
Ahh…the “morals and values” police, welcome.
Get off your damn horse.
JohnDoe? I completely agree with you. If the poster is so against “sexual deviancy” why are you even bothering to be anywhere near an article about Glee? The show clearly embraces actors/characters/storylines of many different stripes and colours–that surely must offend you in myriad ways.
Huh?
If your beliefs are getting in the way of your enjoyment of Glee, why are you even bothering to read about it and certainly why take the time to post about it?
Of course maybe you might want to tune in as they will be adding a Christian character in this next season who is going encounter a lot of situations that might not fit well with her faith. (Btw they already have Christian and Jewish characters, the new character will represent a more conservative viewpoint.
You might think the pink elephant in the room would be Kurt’s sexuality, but consider also… Brittany and Santana’s relationship, Quinn’s infidelity and Puck’s unfaithfulness + having a baby out of wedlock, Will’s divorce, Sue’s meanness, Rachel’s two dads, Tina’s punk wardrobe, and who knows maybe even Mike’s dance move’s.
He sure is pretty. Fingers crossed he sings better than Monteith.
Yeah, he is pretty, eh? I hear you on the Monteith thing. Cory is okay–but I think that Colfer, Salling, and McHale have MUCH better voices.
Well, I have no trouble at all with Cory’s singing on Glee. He’s such a good actor and he plays Finn as an awkward adorable doofus. Yes, I’ve become a babbling fangirl, damn you Monteith.
His name is Chord and he’s holding a guitar. Well, that’s just redundant.
that is the worst stage name ever
it’s not a stage name, it is his given name. His dad is country artist Paul Overstreet and he named all of his kids interesting names.
“Chord Overstreet”, come on!! He looks like a Culkin.
And isn’t John Stamos already attached to that Johnny Drama pilot?
They are already adding cousin Oliver to the cast? More proof that this series is going down hill fast while the Gleeks are too drunk to notice that the driver is asleep at the wheel.
Sounds like someone is jealous
I am a christian also, but I don’t let it get in the way of this phenominal show. I like the adults better than the kids. Don’t get me wrong.. I enjoy watching, and listening to them sing the songs they do, but my main reason for watching are soley for Jayma and Matt. My favorite character above any of them would have to be Emma. If Jayma wasn’t on the show, I wouldn’t be very interested in it. Jayma really brings her character Emma to life in every way possible. I just adore her!:) I also adore the infactuation she has with Matt’s character Will. The Wemma storyline has really got me hooked more than anything else on the show:) I can’t wait to see what these wonderful character are going to bring for us in the 2nd season!:)
icarly no way!!!
