After a stretch of slumming in kid fare, Dwayne Johnson is squarely back in action mode in Faster, the George Tillman Jr.-directed action film about an ex-con out for revenge. This CBS Films release looks different than a lot of recent action offerings I’ve seen lately, including The Green Hornet, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and Predators. Johnson looks capable of not only beating you up, but also pretty much anybody you have ever met. That certainly helps make the action believable. The film opens November 24 and CBS Films just released this trailer.

I can just see and hear the pitch for this product.
Fast-n-the furious meets Thelma and Louise meets Get Carter.
Hopefully the movie will have more than what they are showing in the clip.
And if they don’t bring the funny to this vehicle then it will be a one trick pony.
Because Dwayne is at his best when he can be all kick ass and then funny flash those pearly whites at the same time.
I think people overlook “the rundown” but it was great entertainment. And Dwayne does best in a buddy flick to bounce his personality off of.
This movie looks like fun! Can’t wait till the holiday weekend to check it out.

Looks good. I think the voice over works for a first trailer since sets up the storyline. “The road to revenge is a dead end street…” Explains the premise of the movie without much dialog. Of course, how the rest plays out will determine how great the movie is, but at least we can expect some great action scenes.
Also, haven’t seen all the kid fare, but seems like he can play both well.

I wouldn’t lump “Scott Pilgrim” in with “a lot of recent action offerings.” It’s a game changer, while “Faster” looks like more of the same.
George Tillman Jr. is an awesome director…. He’s been over looked for a long time but his movies ALWAYS speaks for itself!!! I’m surprised to see this action movie because he’s such a deep director who deals with great stories. That’s the only reason I’ll see this movie… I’m not a fan of the Rock.

CBS better hire a great marketing team to promote this film FASTER.. I hope they don’t promote it like that Harrison Ford flop! It looked like a Cheap showtime movie. I hope they allow this movie to stay away from there TV Bull crap and promote it like a REAL MOVIE!

Will CBS let the real filmmakers like George Tillman do what they do! He make HITS don’t dummy this down. We need more filmmakers like George Tillman, I love the direction he’s going in with this movie style of filmmaking, his direction stands out more than the “stars”. The movie looks awesome, CBS please stand BACK.
George Tillman Jr??? I’m not sure who he is but from the movies listed, he seems to be Hollywoods best kept secret. I love his body of work.

CBS Films should stick to making TV shows all their movies have BOMBED.. I’m scared to see what the decision makers will do to this one… probably make it a “G” or a “PG” rating… they are such losers.
I think I’ll check this CBS film out because I love Dwayne Johnson and I like all of George Tillman Jr. films. It can’t be that bad. It looks pretty good. but then again so did that horrible Jennifer Lopez movie CBS did. That was honestly AWFUL! but I’ll give you one more chance CBS before I pull the plug and tell all of my friends. ha.
I’ll see any movie that George Tillman Jr. makes. He’s never let me down yet.
For those who can’t wait to see this movie based on this trailer…I have a copy of Clash of the Titans which you probably couldn’t wait to see either.
