kind of reminds me of “300″ in that it is all about style over substance. when will this guy’s graivy train run out? PS — he seems very arrogant!
Looks terrific. Good for Snyder and his team.
I.m ezxcited to see more of this. I have now watched Watchmen about 4 times, and really, really like it. This project (and trailer) seems to provide ZS with a great canvas to work with.
This looks like complete and utter garbage. A prime example of everything that is wrong with American cinema today. A video game, pretending to be a motion picture, designed to appeal to the ADHD youth of today.
Yes. And the fact that “looking cool” is the primary selling point for films these days is just plain … tragic. It’s reverse engineering for morons. Make it look good first, then try and make it actually good (if you can).
These comic book/video game movies are just getting worse and worse.
Sounds like how most people in Hollywood (and under the age of 25) approach their lives… “looks over substance”
…and waive goodbye to Zach Snyder’s career
right….
Looks awesome, but I gotta wonder if the title is going to hurt sales? I didn’t know anything about it and the name didn’t do anything for me until I saw the still photo in the player was of a sword, then I was like, ‘sword!’ then I watched it. I kept thinking it was some screwball comedy flick.
This movie looks bad-ass! The animation and effects are off the hook.
This is beautifully shot and would make a great music video.
Unfortunately, it’s a movie. Remember when trailers used to be cut to tell a comprehensible story?
This movie is going to be hot hot hot. I am so glad to see these ladies defy gravity and kick some serious butt especially Vanessa Hudgens.
unfortunately chicks still won’t go see it, and guys won’t pay for a film about girls kicking ass.
I was in Hall H when they screened the extended footage, Geoff Boucher called it “liquid mayhem,” that’s appropriate. This movie is insane, in the best way. Snyder’s got a lot going on in this, can’t believe Warner Bros. gave him the go-ahead. But damn it all if I sit here and say I’m not excited — and extremely confused. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! But count me in for opening day.
I don’t get it.
after a hundred times watch it just wow!!!!
Wow..looks just like a cut scene from a video game. no thanks.
This looks like it’s going to be awesome….it’s also Snyder’s first original feature….
Official Plot Synopsis:
“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, but her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary…with potentially tragic consequences.
Inception with tits.
This town needs an enema!
Looks like “300″ meets “Moulin Rouge” by way of a 13-year old fanboy’s masturbation fantasies. Pass.
Yeah, a bunch of women dressed like hookers and strippers with guns and swords fighting Nazis, samurai warriors and dragons while flying in tri-planes to escape.
It sounds like the ramblings of some 13 year old boy trying to one-up his friends in ludicrous stories.
AH, but so long as we put in Imaginationland, anything can be done and is therefor acceptable. Story? Who the hell needs a good story or characters. IMAGINE the possibilities. Puh-lease.
Bleh.
Yawn. This GGI crap is getting really old.
just doesn’t look interesting. plenty of flourishes seen elsewhere, and often. if it actually has a story, the trailer seemed too ashamed to show it.
Gee, ANOTHER movie with the emotional depth of a turnip that looks like a video game.
This film looks incredible. Must be something solid there for WB to be plugging it 8 months out.
Great comments,
they are in two categories: ‘looks great, can’t wait to see’ on one sinde, and of course ‘that cgi crap is so the end of town / the world’.
Which means the movie polarises, which is a good thing. The end of Hollywood are not movies which are made for to few a target audience. If those are actually any good, they will be seen by lots nevertheless.
It is the movie that is made so bland by test screenings and rewrites made to not offend that in the end, it is not worth seeing anymore.
This looks epic and awesome. I can’t wait.
There were no hot guys in that trailer. I’m a chick who appreciates balletic action. I loved 300. I loved the Matrix. But they had hot guys at the center. Female midriffs do nothing for me. Sorry. If I’m to spend two hours watching a teen boy’s fantasy action movie, I expect hot guys.
Go watch Twilight. We’ve been inundated with teen girl fantasies, and they have been pathetic.
This actually looks inspired.
By the way, teen boy’s fantasies don’t include “hot guys.”
OOOO! Brattleboro, Vermont! I wonder if I was born in that institute?
Great trailer. Love Snyder’s style.
