Looks great, but they stole the “conscience is a killer” tagline from THE SHIELD season 6.
It was actually season 6 of The Shield…. which is the best season of any show ever, so I’m just telling myself Dexter is paying homage to it.
season 5 I mean…damnit
What if I saw Season 4 on Showtime?
Looks great. I’m a compulsive cheap bastard so don’t have showtime but looking forward to seeing on free tv or dvd.
Great cast and storylines. HBO and Showtime have done some amazing work the past decade. I’ll never forget a Harvard PhD explaining to me with 100% conviction that the money he spent for HBO was “without doubt, the best money he spends”. I can’t recall which show he was addicted to at the time, but well done.
What?
I think kudos are in order for the Season 4 spoiler warning. Too many magazines (I’m looking at you Entertainment Weekly) and websites are way too liberal with spoilers and give no warning. Good for you!
August 17th can’t come fast enough for me. (Dexter Season 4 on Blu-ray)
Well this has been said a 100 times. Why are you reading the spoilers in the first place on these websites?
Also I’ve always felt that after a show airs the episodes on their network (Showtime) all bets are off! TV/entertainment websites have every right to talk freely about the show. If you haven’t seen the episode when it originally aired. That’s your problem not the rest of the audience members.
What did we all do when we didn’t have the internet/DVRs years ago. We all watched our shows live on television and the next day had “watercooler talk”.
Sorry I meant to say, “Why are people reading the spoilers in the first place on these websites?”
I wasn’t pointing this directly at you just the subject matter to the board.
The fact of the matter remains, TV on DVD has changed the way a lot of people watch their TV now. So it would be nice if all endings weren’t ruined. But my point was to THANK this site for at least acknowledging that there WAS a spoiler. Because other places (again… I’m looking at you Entertainment Weekly) do not always take the time to say “Spoiler Warning” at the beginning of an article. How am I to know I’m reading a spoiler, if it’s not indicated?
But in theory, I do agree with what you’re saying. Once something has aired, it is free to be talked about a la “the watercooler.” But then again… we’re old fashioned, cause we remember the actual “watercooler” and not just the metaphor. Heck, I’m so old fashioned, I still like my movies to be shot and PROJECTED on film.
A side note – Does it horribly depress anyone else that AMC theatres (like the Burbank 16, for one) does not project film at all anymore?
From the promo, this is already looking better than last season. Last season I would give an 8.5 because it dragged out Trinity until the last few episodes.
I have question is it true that this is the last season of Dexter?
I was reported that it was signed on for two more season along with another. Something like that. Maybe someone has more detail info.
To say that I can’t wait would be the understatement of the year. This show is better than anything showtime has ever put out…except maybe the first season of Dead Like Me. Glad that Michael C. Hall can say that he has two great series on his resume. Something which doesn’t happen much anymore.
True Blood and Dexter are the two best genre shows on tv.
looks like Dexter is now going to have to spend the new season dealing with his concious. can not wait for the new season
I love True Blood, I love Breaking Bad, I love Mad Men, I’m sure I’m going to love Walking Dead, but without question the best series on TV the past few years has been Dexter. It’s in a category by itself.
I’m so glad Rita is dead. It makes me giddy for the new season.
I’d almost forgotten how much I enjoyed seeing Rita’s character written out of the show. Cheers!
The best show on TV.
Going back to that earlier question, (sorry to hassle), is this (season 5) the last season of Dexter? It would be a shame if it ended so quickly
