Marvel Studios Announces ‘Thor’ And ‘Captain America’ Signings At Comic-Con

• My heart would be AFLUTTER to be in the presence of Chris Evans. I wish I were going. Ah well. Here’s hoping that “Captain America” and “Thor” meet my high expectations. I just wish the studios would release the Comic Con footage officially on-line after the showing so the rest of the world can see. I mean, what’s there to hide, right? I hope that becomes a practice sometime soon. Should have happened years ago.

• Years ago, I saw Kenneth Branagh in Henry V at Stratford-upon-Avon — and was thunderstruck by his performance. So much so, in fact, that I bought a souvenir poster in the gift shop because I was absolutely sure that I would hearing more about this guy, and I would have a chance to ask him to autograph the poster. And sure enough, when he went on tour to promote his film version of Henry V, I interviewed him — and he autographed my poster.

  Which is a long, roundabout way of saying I ain’t looking down my nose at anybody who wants to grab his autograph at Comic Con.
