Does anyone else think this looks horrible or “Thorible”. I’m trademarking that phrase by the way.
It looks like a made-for-TV SPARTACUS. Poor Sir Anthony – what some will do for a paycheck.

Haha, the Academy Awards set… I wondered the same thing. That is such cheesy set design. Hope these pics aren’t representative of the rest of the flick.

Could his shoulders look just a little more square from behind? This looks ridiculous. Why can’t anyone take Edna Mode’s advice, “No Capes.”
Looks like Chris Hemsworth is pulling a Colin Farrell in ALEXANDER with the blonde hair. Anyone think this will be as bad? This looks about as good as the original MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE with Dolph Lundgren.

A young Viking woman is walking through the Scandinavian pine forest when there is a sudden clap of thunder and bright flash. Standing before her is the ultimate Norse hero, his huge hammer reaching almost to the ground. They make mad, passionate, Viking love. Afterwards, the woman says (in a heavy Norwegian/Swedish accent), “Incredible! Who are you?” The blond-haired hero replies: “I am the God of Thunder! I am THOR!” “Tho am I,” the woman replies, “but it wath thuper”!
Thank you and goodnight.

I think the better come back is:
“You’re thor!? I’m so thor I can’t even pith!”

Heck, it looks like they shot it in front of the Academy Awards on Hollywood Blvd. Look at those costumes!

I love Branagh and have faith in him…. but these pics look dumb.
I fear the superhero boom is about to go bust. I can easily picture the Spider-Man reboot, that NOBODY is asking for, bombing. Further saturating the field will be low-quality Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four films. Cheap looking Wolverine and new X-Men films already feel tiresome. Thor looks too dumb, so far. Ryan Reynold’s face shape looks horrible behind Green Lantern’s mask. He could be mistaken for Jim Carrey’s Riddler. Captain America has a patriotism problem: not enough for US audiences and too much for foreign audiences. Warners can’t commit to making any hard choices on Superman, so we’ll get another “vague sequel” “vague standalone” mush, with little action, instead of a desperately needed reboot. This after audiences were burned last time and are less likely to show up next time. Batman is the only superhero film that seems like it won’t flat out bomb.

PLASTICS ALARM. The pictures look like a giant wardrobe malfunction.

Yep, minority moviegoers will be lining up for this one. Will there be English subtitles? Or will the Viking Thor have a British accent?

Anthony Hopkins looks out of place. Set and costumes look lame.
Maybe it will look better on Earth.

I liked Thor as a kid. My kids don’t know anything about him. Exactly who are these superheroes from the 70′s and beyond being marketed to when the movie going public tends to be under 30?
Wardrobe looks… comical.
Remember Carol Burnet in the “Gone With The Wind” spoof? Curtains…
The horror….the horror.
Please God save me from soft light!
Could go either way for me. Either really lame or dramatic. Maybe Hopkins will make me believe this is real.
Jack Kirby would be proud…
looks DOA

I like it. The middle picture is visually very creative, in a minimalistic sort of way.
why are the costumes so cheesy looking? Do not like what I am seeing so far…
First major Marvel misstep?
Kids today LOVE Norse mythology. I have a good feeling about this.
“Flash… Ahhhh! Savior of the universe.”
Exactly my thought!
